Watercooling V Formula Question

Thread Starter
I'm going to water cool my V formula and my i3770K in my Thermaltake Chaser MK-I and here is my setup:

XSPC Raystorm 750 RX240 Extreme Universal CPU Water Cooling Kit w/ Free Dead-Water!
XSPC EX120 Single 120mm Low Profile Split Fin Radiator
Swiftech Lok-Sealâ„¢ Compression Fitting G1/4 Thread - 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD - Black
Phobya Reusable 5/8" OD Hose Clamp - Black
Danger Den DreamFlex Value Pack - Tubing / Clamps / Tube Cutter ( 3/8"ID x 5/8"OD ) - Clear UV

I've got 2 options in my mind, option 1 is to start from the res to 240 rad then to cpu then the 120 rad to the VRMs then back to the res again.

here is a simple diagram:

option 2 is to start from res to 240 rad and then to 120 rad to the cpu then VRMs and back to the res again.

here is a simple diagram:

I would like to know which option is the best one and do you think that the 120 rad is necessary to the loop to cool the VRMs or not and do you think that the pump could handle this 2 rad loop.

I hope to get an answer so that I can order based on your recommendations guys smile.gif

See the second line of my sig... Then go with whatever order gives you the cleanest tubing. Eyeballing it from your pics, I'd say that would be pump/res > rad > VRM > CPU > back to res. The VRMs won't add too much heat so the 240 rad will be enough, but the wouldn't be a terrible idea. With that in the loop, I'd say... Pump/res > top rad -> cpu -> vrm -> bottom rad -> res. Or something like that.
