Cool idea but that's way out of my league.

Bit off the topic but i always thought using a freezer pump like a freezer for cool drink would be a cool idea.

Saw i video once where a dude did something like that.

ok lol now that trolling done

h100 with 1850 gentle typhoons at 100% 24/7 is super quiet, esp for 4.6ghz. going to 4.7/4.8 not even temp issue, more chip issue, done wanna push over 1.35v, since 1.28 is super stable at 4.6

I also have this hooked up to the i5-3570K overclocked to 4.2GHz idle temp is around 26c sometimes 24c.

SORRY FOR THE DUBBEL POST.

The backplate does have a small gap, when installing I noticed it, took me a long time to figure out if I was missing parts. I did a lot of work on it and reading, I contacted Corsair support and they said from two different contacts that this was normal. I have had this for a week now and no problems, good temps. I moved it around some just to double check and it's fine. No worries.

Good to know so the pump does make contact on the cpu. What did you do to resolve this issue. And is the pump secure does is not move around?

Where did you read up about the issue.

Can you post a link or 2 please.
I did not do anything to resolve the issue, I come to find out that the gap is just there when installing. When you add the magnetic front plate to the install it closes that gap. xD I tried to move it every possible way and like I said it doesn't move. I am assuming because of the magnet.

Average idle temp is 23-26c overclocked using Asus Auto Tuning, 5-3570k @4.2GHz on Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard with Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz memory Cas8.

I don't have links for the reviews but I just searched it in Bing/Google and I looked in my trash bin for messages from Corsair stating that it is normal but I cleaned it. You can message them, they will confirm it for you.thumb.gif
