Corsair H100i fan help

Thread Starter
I have the Corsair 100i in my Phantom 410 Mid-Tower, it is a snug fit, I have the fans on the inside screwed in to the radiator on the top. Was contemplating modding my case and putting the radiator in the front, uncertain if I even can.

Anyways! I want to push/pull configure but my case does not allow this, I was wondering if anyone knew of any thin 120mm case fans that I can mount on the top. I can't tell you how much space is actually up there but it would have to be pretty thin, if even possible.

-Thanks! thumb.gif

you want to put fans on the top ( outside ) of your case?

No, No. lolz, hmm, how to explain this better. I know picture time.

Picture 1: Radiator being mounted on Top of Case

Picture 2: Fans mounted on bottom of radiator

Problem:
Push/Push won't work because of inside/top clearance. Wanted to know if there were thinner 120mm case fans that would possible fit in that small gap?

Examples Below:

Ignore Cord coming from Gap, fan not installed just there for example. xD

that's an easy mod/mount. just get long ass screws from your favorite hardware. instead of mounting it on the top of the case mount it at the bottom. your fans will be really close to the ram/heatsink but I think it will fit.

I also have an h100i and my case doesn't really support it (it's an old school gigabyte 3d aurora) I had to use long 2 inch screws (dunno the exact length)

Nope, I already tried to mount it on the bottom, I held it up to it and it seemed liked it would fit, but when I went to actually go to install it the motherboard heatsinks and memory conflicted with it enough to not be able to mount. x[

If not think fans then I might just do what another friend suggested which is to take out middle hdd caddy and removed the bottom hdd caddy and mount it in the front. Put HDDs in 5.25" bays with 3.5" bay adapters. If that even works, unconfirmed, more modding. xD

I cant gurantee they'll fit but they are half the thickness of regular 120mm fans.

Also, they have abysmal CFM. You're probably better off just running push with the stock fans.

Looks good to me, I guess to be a sure thing I could just take off the top mesh guard and actually measure the length to double check. I saved the fans on eBay, thanks for the find, hopefully they fit, would be nice. It's not necessary to do push/pull, my PC is fine the way it is but I just want it for fun I guess. thumb.gif

unless you are already pushing your tempertures, its not worth really putting 2 more fans on the cooler... it adds a lot more noise, and it looking like its going to be a pain. adding 2 more fans, especially those thin sytche fans. itll drops temps like... 8 degreese... thats it.
