Finally, my dream machine. - Page 12

is that so, i was told that just the other day. And i must admit i did google it, and it said win 8 only. i'll have another look but i'll take your word for now. Still, think 16gb would be fine for most people. See my rig plans, im wanting to push 3840×2160 and 16 should be fine.

You are relatively correct. Windows 7 x64 professional caps out at 16 GB with Windows 8 professional (which I'll be running) capping out at an absurd number.

32 GB for a gaming machine is indeed excessive, as is my processor choice, however this may turn into a workstation of sorts later on down the line and I'll want to be ready.

New builds are always fun. I've not upgraded since 2008 and this build contains a few firsts for me. I'm jazzed biggrin.gif

I am hoping to get 4 years out of my current system but its not gonna happen I already want a second 670. That Psu sleeving is sexy, nice to not have to do it your self also.

That's about what I got out of mine, though truth be told, my 5970 was a waste of money. Directx 11 performance in tessellation heavy environments was terrible and the frequent micro stutter drove me insane.

This is a chair I ordered to accompany a new desk. This is EXACTLY WHAT I FOUND when I opened the SEVERELY damaged box.

We have in another thread currently running a folder that gets 260K ppd on his 580 running beta WU's.True the program could and probably will change but why select any other gpu than the 580 when it produces this kind of ppd?

Let me know how if the Naga 2012 works, I've heard that buttons 9-12 don't work, though that's probably fixed by now.

I would've went with one too, but I went for the Naga epic instead. rolleyes.gif

Maybe folding isn't his only concern? And yeah, the program is only temporary, i.e. beta

That's a shame coming from the egg. I've just ordered a 7950 boost and hope it comes through okay. Order still sitting in the "packaging" status right now though so I'm just waiting for that tracking number. I hope it comes by the weekend though.

Can't wait to see the pics of your rig and hope it all goes together well.
