Here are some advantages of each device I've come up with. Anything incorrect, or anything needed to be added?

iPhone:
Brighter screen, higher PPI
Thinner, lighter, smaller, more portable
Vibrate switch
Louder speaker
Better microphone for video
Better camera
Faster boot times
Faster app load time
Faster web page load time
Much higher browser mark score
Siri better than S-voice
Better 3D graphics
No bloatware

S3:
Micro SD
Removable battery
LED notification
Larger screen for web browsing
Widgets
Better notification bar (until iPhone is jailbroken)
Picture in picture
Data usage controls
Better multitasking
Flash
Better maps
File explorer (until iPhone is jailbroken)
USB mass storage device
Haptic feedback on keyboard
3rd party launchers / lock screens
Custom keyboards
Universal port
More video/audio formats

Shame you can't hack the 920 and install JB on it.... would make that phone just sick!

Your list looks pretty accurate to me. One thing I will caution on, the resolution on the iPhone 5, isn't always used. Many of the apps still have the bars on the side of the screen until the new resolution is updated. I would be surprised if this didn't happen in the next 6 mos, but still, an FYI.

Since you are interested in the Jailbroken iPhone, I suppose you would likely be interested in ROM's for the GS3. With that said, the bloatware is quickly and easily removed. Not sure how familiar you are with the ROM's/Kernals that are available for it, but being as it is such a popular phone, if you want it, it is there. Battery life focused, performance focused, just a clean version, etc. I might look into that as well and also ask if anyone has tried the Opera browser on the GS3, or any other Android phone, to see how that rates in comparison to the iPhone. I know that is one thing you seem to be focused on, is how snappy apps and browsing is on the phone.

In that case, the LGOG may be the one to get. With it being the twin to the Nexus 4 (essentially) there are likely to be a good number of ROMS for it as well over time.

In all honesty, I would probably choose the LGOG if it were me between the 3. Many will chastise me for it, because of their lack of support and such, but I can't honestly sit here and think that with the Nexus 4 as its cousin, most of those ROM's and such don't get released on the LG too. I read they have already unlocked the bootloader on it...

Comparing it to the GS3 and iPhone
PPI is in the middle,
no MSD slot, but can get a 32g version..
Has the flexibility of the GS3 for supported audio, PIP, faster than GS3
None removable battery, like the iPhone
Still has the LED notification (something I really miss on my W8P), maps, Widgets, and larger screen

That is a quick rundown, busy in the library at school so it is kinda sloppy, sry lol.

Hope that helps you!

U arent missing much but a lot of the stuff u mentioned on the iPhone 5 has a minimal advantage over the S3. Like faster load times ine very thing. Cmon its a couple miliseconds to a few seconds. U cant wait that long??? tongue.gif

but other than that, i dont think anything is missing. smile.gif

I checked with a Bell rep and they said that they were certain that Bell would be getting the Nexus 4, just that they didn't have a specific date.

So between the Nexus 4 and the S3 is the Nexus 4 the clear winner?

I think I actually like the appearance of the S3 better, and it also has the removable battery and SD card slot. I read that the camera on the S3 is better, but the screen and processor on the Nexus 4 is better. Also the Nexus 4 is Vanilla and gets updates first.

Thoughts?

Getting updates first also means getting to be the tester for the bugs in the os like skipping December in the appointment.

If you do get the n4 make sure to get the 16 gb one if you want to use that screen and processor.

Well the Nexus 4 is the superior phone in many hardware aspects. But if the internal memory size on the Nuxes 4 concerns u, then by all means get the S3

Eh, it isn't that bad actually. the S4 Krait dual is a very good processor.

It simply was an LTE radio issue. It is supposed to be changed for the GS4, so one would think anyway.....
