BSOD and Freeze while streaming video

So yes, Iv'e been getting lots of BSOD and Freeze while streaming video since I got my new rig

Spec are :
CPU : AMD FX-8150 stock speed
Ram : 32G DDR3 corsair vengeance 1600mhz (running at 1422 mhz)
MOBO : Asus M5A99X EVO
GPU : Sapphire 7870 GHz edition at stock speed (with driver 12.11 beta)
I'm using window 7 ultimate

I can play BF3 on ultra setting with 60-90 FPSwith no problem, but when I stream video online
my computer BSOD or freeze and I have to reboot it. Mostly happen when I'm full screen.

I ran prime95 during 26 hours without crash so I guess I can say my computer is stable smile.gif

Thank you :3!

What is the BSOD Error code?

Around the bottom of the screen there should be something like "STOP ERROR: 0x00000116" or something. I'm just guessing it's a 116.

If it is, that means that it's a driver issue. For some reason, my 7970s will only work on /very/ old drivers. I'm talking 11.3 and the only one I had working right before that was the /original/ RC9 driver.

If it's a different error code, please post it up here. It can also be found in the Event Viewer.

[EDIT] Another thought-- Right click the streamed video, and go to settings, and un-check "Enable Hardware Acceleration". That caused a lot of "Your driver has crashed and restarted" issues with me when I first started on my 7970.

This is what I got in the event viewer

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa80192558f8, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\112112-9562-01.dmp. Report Id: 112112-9562-01.

From what Iv'e read, it has something to do with hardware failure but why would it only happen while streaming video?

by the way, thank you so much for your time smile.gif
