I'd personally get a cheaper motherboard and ditch the Dark Knight for a Hyper 212. I'd also drop one of the 3TB hard drives. I can't imagine you'll ever need 6TB of storage. Perhaps a cheaper case?

If your using 1 video card (7770) I can't think of any situation where you'd need a 990FX motherboard. Settle for a feature full 970 board or a feature full board w/ int. graphics as a backup. More money saved = more money for a better GPU, another SSD, ect.

Pretty large Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk . I use mine mainly just for boot and photoshop scratch file.

Could save atleast $150 of that thing and go with a 64gb my 32 still has 10gigs free after Win8 install and a few other things.

For PSU I am waiting for AX750i. The reason for two 3gb drives is for raid 1. Got to have protection. As for mb boards I never done any over clocking before and I want to try. What do I need to look for? I don't plan on trying to go above 4.5ghz. But i want to keep 2nics so i can bind them later. I plan to primarily use vbox but will play around with vmplayer. Once I graduate college I plan to change this computer to a nas, and build a better box. I use Linux and windows a lot so the larger ssd is so I can have 3 boot os, and allow some of my VM's to run faster.

I'm kind of a scrouge.. so i'd have to ask what you mean when you say " Play Around with VM's " i keep a virtual machine on my windows 8 that runs windows 7 mainly because of compatibility issues with other systems and some software.. Also it serves as a testing ground for " freeware " programs incase one has a virus and i need to re-image a system.

How much performance do you need these things to do?

Creating a mix Windows and Linux Domain and testing various Linux Distributions. In my school one of the projects is setting up 5 linux base servers and 6 mix linux and windows workstations. As I have done this project several time on schools computers in a VM and non VM environment. Now i want to build this project at home and integrate Windows AD. Not looking at doing a full 6 Clients VM. Just one Linux based and one Windows based.
