Good Motherboard for FX-4300? - Page 4

Get the FX-6300 instead of the 4300, You get two more cores for only 10 dollars more while still maintaining a mere 95 watts. Very worth it.

Asrock 970 extreme4 is a budget board, so I wouldn't overclock on it, yes some people have but its only a 4+1 phase, so cooling would be needed when you could get the ASUS M4A88T-V EVO. It was 89 dollars on newegg last time I checked. Or M5A99X EVO which is 109 after rebate. Better for overclocking.
PSU, if you are going for the CX edition they're not the best power supply out there, I'd go for an OCZ or Antec unless you can find the better Corsair models.
64GB for SSD is a bit small, I take it you're using it for a boot drive only? You won't get much else on there without filling it up. For gaming, it does nothing.
Hyper 212 EVO is a fine cooler and always recommended by everyone, its cheap so it'll fair OK with an OC.

I have M4A88T-M, I even have two, and both have a problem with 4 pin cpu connector. But suppose that to blame myself, I am just a beginner in oc.

OP: If you want onboard video and you want to game on it then get an a10 APU. You can crossfire one of those with a 6670.

EDIT: I would recommend a Samsung 830 series SSD if you have the money for it.
Just a question, can the A10s handle planetside 2 at low-medium settings at 1080p?

Also, how are those crossfired 7770s treating you? smile.gif

Will it accomplish tasks as fast as previous-gen AMD processors? Absolutely not.

I say it is way too early to ask.

Mid-2013..... you'll have next generation AMD platforms, next generation Intel platforms... it'll be a changed market-scape.

Ok, but how does that translate into gaming, as i'm not going to be doing any benchmarking like wprime... Is it faster in gaming?\
EDIT: Wouldnt an FX series be more future proof as well, with the 965 being 3 years old and all?
