Thread Starter
First i need to get ati tools working i believe since i hear its better for overclocking. When i try and start ati tools i get a gray screen with black sort of lines going through my screen and it freezes my computer.

Actually i got it working again by unistalling and reinstalling it.

Alright i got card running at 701/801 right now with volts of 1.55/2.149/2.149/1.5.

I tried raising it to 708/814 but crashed on me during artifact testing.

What happens when you increase the core higher? And what are your temps like? (post all three temps from atitool if you can.)

I can't seem to get back into ati tools after it crashed for some odd reason. I tried reinstalling like i did before, but this time it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas why?

Just got it up and working except it i couldn't overclock since it doesn't read my drivers. So i tried reinstalling it and this time i got a nice blue screen instead of that boring gray screen. Ati tools is giving me one hell of a headache.

Alright i got it up and running again and got the clocks running at 698/801 for 8 minutes on the artifact test. The three temps from top to bottom were 104/68/59 with volts of 1.550/2.081/2.081/1.486

My setting for the fan speed of the tidewater was at low though.

Whoa, way too hot. Turn the final voltage down to 1.42 and put a fan in your case so it's blowing air past the small and long red heatsink over the voltage regulators.

Just got a fan under the card and ran it again with same volts, except the last one changed to 1.420 as you said. The new temps were 80/62/44, but got an artifact at around 6 minutes.

Your core and memory temps are fine, but that 80C is still too high for me. The last voltage doesn't have a huge affect on stablitly, and dropping it .x volts usually lower temps a lot.

I've seen more stability out of cranking it to 1.55-1.58. It's not NECESSARY but but adds that bit more. I agree your regs are too hot. What are your room/case ambients?

Also, the artifact scanner kinda sucks an every beta of atitool except 14 from personal experience.
