This days the RAM is not what it was in the begining of 2000 ,very little gain from it.
Corsair is expensive stuff and strange with AMD as Kingstons.

well truth is I couldnt pass up these corsairs I was sent these 1866mhz corsair vengence ram for hardware testing and they gave them to me after Corsair did so they were FREE so replacing them is kind of last option given a slight voltage bump on CPU / NB , NB , CPU VDDA and ram itself and it was all good everything fixxed.

Not sure if you resolved your issue or not yet but I ran into a similar issue with my 8150 on my ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z. Was getting really odd issues, hangups and what not. Sometimes it would just not post or would hang during post. Even passed memtest86 without issues. I was thinking it was a memory controller issue on the 8150 or something wrong with the board itself. I decided to upgrade after a time (because it was getting much worse as time went on) and went with my ASUS Maximus V Extreme that I am running now with the 3770k. Thing would not post no matter what I did. Tested the sticks one at a time and narrowed it down to one of my sticks being the culprit. As soon as I removed it it post. Put the RAM back into the Crosshair minus the one I suspected was bad and booted it, all the issues I had before immediately went away. Really sounds like bad RAM.

One other thing I noticed while reading is that you are mixing brands, whereas you can do that I tend to no like doing that due to the chips are usually different and will almost always have different timings. The board will when using the XMP profile try to use the XMP profile but when you have different speeds/timings it will use a setting that may or may not work well with all the sticks.

I would test the sticks one at a time and personally I would use one brand or the other to include keeping them at the same speeds and same timings for optimal stability.

Absolutely not. I have 2 eight GB sticks of G.skill Trident X 1866. They run beautifully and get no errors in memtest since I blasted my ram slots with compressed air. Blow out the memory slots , reseat the ram. Debris in the ram slots can often cause these errors. Unless you test each stick separately you will never know if you have a bad stick of ram.

I would like to add i have not checked your board but i always use ram that the board has listed on approved list for that motherboard

.Meaning the part number listed i would not even try to anything else ..

It just seems like the last few years motherboards have been a pain when when it comes to ram..
My older amd boards i can mix ram with different vendors +size no problems on one board i have a pny/ kingston and trendsend no problems
on a board that is 1 year old if i even think about mixing or not using a brand on the list the board will crash or no even oc past a few 100mhz mad.gif
