With live streaming out of the equation. I'm really curious to see what you guys think now... SO many questions I have now... Again I'm still recording/playing games at 1080p... I'm gonna shoot for some of the highest quality possible.

either 8350 or 3570k, you won't gonna see any major difference, it's really up to you, i'll pick intel because it's intel.

Well.. with the live streaming software favoritism out of the way... I really don't see disadvantages to picking AMD. If it can record with me in 1080p... The 200$ is a good save... But I am still leaning Intel as well.

i have nothing more to say, it's really up to you, if you want the 8350 then go get it, it won't gonna dissapoint.

It's gonna let me record games like Starcraft II, Battlefield 3, Call of Duty(s)... At 1080p, at 30+ FPS... While I maintain a decent and more than playable quality on my end? 6950 2GB? Bought it last year around this time... It maxes everything. I think it's bottle necked by my CPU ATM.

The 8350 of course... I mean, i7 is kind of not needed now with live-streaming gone...

That $200 saving is really tempting...

Well ghostrider85 seems adamant on tempting you to buying AMD. But just remember that you will be getting a worse CPU. It really is 4 cores, not 8 (modules don't count). You will have very bad low FPS, which sucks. And lots of games just don't do well with an AMD CPU, just look at this:

So go ahead, make your choice. But the matter of the fact is that you can build an Intel system for almost the exact same price as an AMD system.

Yah, I'm still going with the i7. Not because of your cherry-picked benchmarks tongue.gif Because of, obviously, higher IPS, I'm more familiar with the brand. I just feel that $200 buys me a guarantee this chip is gonna eat recording and playing games at 1080p for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And still have room leftover...

The reality is the budget is simply because I am attempting to leave room for an Xbox. The to be honest, the PC master race inside me says it's silly to compromise my PC build or even remotely change it because of a Console... Hehehe.

I'm good... I don't think I will be resurrecting this thread ever again.

Those benchmarks aren't cherry picked. They're just from games that are CPU-dependent. In those games, an i5-3570k (or an i7) will simply perform better. Same is true for Total War. Yes, there are lots of games where the fx-8350 will perform just as well as an Intel chip.

But only a fool or propagandist can look at CPU benchmarks and say anything but in some games the fx-8350 will perform the same as the i5-3570k, in some games the fx-8350 will perform noticeably worse than the i5-3570k, and in no games will the fx-8350 perform better than the i5-3570k.

Don't be dismissive of someone who put in a lot of effort to help you. It's rude.

Actually MisterFred, I actually just saw this in another thread. You might want to re-affirm your accuracy with this claim...
