AMD 1100T rig freezing lately PLEASE HELP :)

Howdy everyone well the title says it all. The parts in my sig rig are what I'm currently running with and I have been experiencing random freezes lately over the past few months with it getting more frequent.

I have never had it happen during a game but usually while using the internet with multiple tabs open as well as several other programs like word etc. When it freezes the screen just locks up ( NO BSOD) just locks the image, mouse and keyboard won't work and the only fix is a restart button reboot.

I need to get this issue sorted out quickly as I will be giving the mobo and cpu to my mom soon for a new rig I'm building for her. (I'm upgrading to z77, 3770k, and samsung 840 ssd).

I believe the problem may be my intel SSD. I believe the ram, cpu, mobo, and psu are all fine and have been running flawlessly pretty much since last year when the system was built.. I especially don't think its the PSU since its a 800W high end one and I only ever at max pull 300W from it according to my killawatt.

I believe the SSD is the issue because nothing else really makes much sense and I took my mom's new smasung 840 and popped it into this rig with a fresh windows 8 install on it and didn't have an issue (despite only brief usage of it)

The only other thing i can think of is my slight overclock I've put on it. I've been running it at 3.7 GHZ without any voltage increase and it worked great for 10 months so i don't really know why it would start acting up. I've since returned it to the stock 3.3 GHZ and seemed to have less issues but still have had freezing. So that fact leads me to believe it may not be simply a bad overclock.

So any help or input would be appreciated or if anyone knows of any specific issues that generally occur with any of the parts in my sig rig. Thanks in advance!!! thumb.gif

Crank the OC down and check for stability?

Also, you might just need a fresh OS install... maybe something in there messed up... hmm.... what about a ChkDsk? Have you diagnosed anything wrong with the drive?

I had a similar issue with my 1055T when I had it. I would get random freezes and BSODs with my 4.0Ghz overclock at 1.5v. Eventually I put it back at stock but the cpu wouldn't even remain stable at 2.8Ghz on stock voltage. I blamed it on the cheapo motherboard I was using, an ASUS M4A88TD-M, since I assumed the VRMs couldn't keep up.

Anyway, try reducing the overclock and see what happens.
