Choosing a ssd

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
A buddy of mine is in the market for a SSD

He will be ordering from
http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index.php?cPath=61_428

Anything less than 900-1000 ZAR

Good options seem
60/64gb Vertex 4 or Agility 4

60/64gb Corsair Force 3 /Force GT

How is OCZ`s tech support? I`ve heard many horror stories about OCZ poke.gif

Samsung 830, plain and simple, I haven't checked that site but i'm sure there is somewhere in your country to pick one up.

I would rather look at http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/ they are based in Newlands, so really easy to pickup if you live in Cape Town. I've done this several times before.

60/64Gb is really not that much space, I would recommend going for a 120GB rather.

But for either these are great choices;

60GB:

120GB

Personally I prefer paying that little extra for the speed, thus I got a Corsair Neutron GTX 120GB.

best deals there for 60GB are the Intel 330 and vertex 4

for 120B the vertex 4.
