Still waiting for Jellybean for my Droid 4. I just updated recently to the 4 from 2 and was on ICS based roms then, and I tried the most recent JB roms for the Droid 4 and wasn't feeling it. I'm just going to wait until Verizon gets the update for it.

Plenty of vids on YouTube.

For those weary or new to custom roms, here are my general thoughts.

1. PICKING A ROM: Stay away from nightly roms if you want stability. "Updated" roms that have been out for a while will be fine tuned and have less bugs. Research is the key.

2. NO BLOAT: Flashing a new rom gets rid of carrier bloat.

3. GUI CUSTOMIZATION: If you are one of those guys that Cumpiz'ed out ubuntu, or themes windows, then you will love the added customization of a custom rom.

4. OPTIMIZATION: Some of the better roms feature Kernels that will actually increase base clock speed and battery life.

5. FEATURES: Most Roms include things that the carriers probably dont want you to have (this doesn't mean you need to use them tongue.gif)
Some cool stuff I have seen would be, Tethering, 3G uncap, built in overclocking tools.

6. And last but not least.... PRESERVATION! I have a old Droid incredible that is what 4 years old now and it is running a AOKP version of Ice Cream sandwitch. My wife has a X2 that also running ICS. And dont get me started on my CM9 Touchpad.

Has anyone tried updating this morning? I've been trying since about 9A.M. CST and I keep getting stuck at 7% downloaded...I assume the update servers are down. I was so excited when i found out this morning too : (
