Headphone Recommendations for Laptop/Driod...

So I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I seem to have lost my craptastic $10 ear buds in transit. I dont really have anything amazing to play audio with but default speakers just dont cut it. I have my cheap little $400 HP Laptop and an original Droid, packed with movies and music.

So my needs are pretty simple:
Mostly used for music and some movies here and there, movie sound isnt the best(buying dvd's from Local Nationals) so I am not as concerned with that. I listen to metal mostly so clear sound is more important than super deep bass, though I do like some good bass when I am listening to rap. I am not sure if I should buy some really good headphones now and then be able to use them on my desktop when I get home(late next year) or if I should just grab a decent pair now to hold me over. I sleep in a bunk bed with a roomate and we live in a very small room(2 wall lockers and a bed is all that fits, barely) so open eared headphones that allow others to hear what I am listening to is not really an option.

My budget is between $50-$150, I figure that should be plently for a set to hold me over here. If there is a really good deal on headphones that I could get now and would work out for later use on my desktop my budget can push $300. The local bazaar sells Beats(knock offs I am sure) for $50 but they sound just like the $250 Studio Beats all the people bought in the States. I like the amount of bass they can put out but everything else is very distorted with all the bass. Before I had the $10 Skull Candy ear buds, they arnt bad but not all that good either.

So if someone could recommend me a pair of headphone/ear buds I could purchase online that dose APO shipping I would greatly appreciate it. If the site dosnt do APO shipping I can always mail them home and have someone ship them too me but would prefer to mail them directly here.

Lol. As I was writing this I BSODed. Stupid windows 8 mad.gif

Anyways. I would look at getting some audio technica ath-m50. I have no idea what APO shipping is, so I am going to be using amazon for links.

http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM50S-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B004ZG9TMA/ref=sr_1_fed0_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1354592049&sr=8-2&keywords=audio-technica+ath-m50

I would also pair it with the FiiO E11 headphone amp http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E11-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0053KWDES

The reason I am recommending an amp on top of the headphones is because the M50s have a slightly higher impedance then what most laptops can drive properly let alone smart phones. So not only with the amp help drive the headphones better, but it should imporve the sound quality by quite a bit (assuming your laptop doesn't have great audio output).

Thank you for the reply I am checking into those. APO(Army Post Office) is the mailing address they give you when your deployed. Some companys ship directly to us bases overseas and others require a home/business address.

Edit: It didnt take to long to look those headphones up and every site I came across had nothing but good things to say about them. Most of the reviews I read said they didnt need an amp with them but I went ahead and purchased both. +Rep for the recommendation.
