GTX 670 FTW 4GB or 2GB

Thread Starter
My question is just should i go with the GTX 670 FTW 4GB model or the 2GB model... I have been reading up on this graphics card and I think its safe to say I am sold. The 2GB is 409.99 and the 4GB is 439.99 where i buy my computer parts. Any information, suggestions, or useful benchmarks even would be appreciated greatly! Thanks.

The 4GB model. Obviously.

If you game at 1080p, stay with 2GB. If you want surround or game at 1440p+, go for the 4GB.

$40 is a considerable amount of money if it returns absolutely no perceivable benefits in performance.

However, I do concur with the previous statements. If you can, get the 4GB model, as it will definitely hold its resale value better and will be more capable of driving 1440 monitors or multiple 1080 monitors.

4GB hands down if you don't want to run out of memory on certain games like Crysis.

I run a 3 monitor setup (With 3x GTX580 3GB GPU's) and playing Crysis 2 maxed settings, EACH card uses over 2.5 GB at 5760x1024 res. It wouldn't surprise me if Crysis 3 will use all 3GB, or even 4GB if you have it. Spend the extra $30 and you will be much happier believe me. Looking at another angle though, the GTX780 looks to have 3GB standard if you can wait a few months. That would be my recommendation as it will have even more raw power as well.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! I will go with the 4GB model then for sure!! If needed in the future i could add a second card as well! Do you guys know if this single card would run triple monitors at 1080p? and be able to play games on them?

4GB for a single card, right now, is sill as there isn't enough GPU power to back it up. But good I suppose if you plan on keeping it for a long time and might add a couple more cards with it.
