It's possible something else killed my 690 (I installed an Arctic Cooler on it a few weeks ago), but it has been running fine until I installed this new driver. I can't even RMA the card since I replaced the cooler. I am totally bummed that my 690 is now bricked.
Just registered to say that this driver killed my card too.
Yeah, it's a completely useless card by now but that evga 8800 gts 512 had been working perfectly for years. Great performance at 1680x1050.
I was playing Borderlands 2 with no problem, updated from 302 to 310.70 and 5 minutes later it crashed, forced me to reboot, and after that on and off garbled text during bios and blackouts/bsod on windows.
No wonder Nvidia quickly released 310.90
You shouldn't think it's dishonest to rma it. It's not your cooler that killed it, but the drivers.
I wish I could stull rma my card
. I'm getting a new one really soon and I'm frightened to run it with 310.90 just in case it's as ****ed up as 310.70.Edited by jcamilo70 - 1/10/13 at 11:41pm
