I just got an ssd and installed steam but its not recognizing the 500gb worth of steam games I have on my other hard drive. The wierd thing is that the steam client on the other hard drive is missing too for some reason confused.gif

All the games have to be in the same directory as Steam, unless you use a program like SteamTool to move them.

All you have to do is run STEAM.EXE from the STEAM folder where all the installed game files are and STEAM does the rest.

I have added drives, copied the complete STEAM folder or just ran them from the old drive with a new drive letter and it hasn't made any difference as long as you are in the right folder. You can just create a shortcut to that file / location or just right click and pin the file to the task bar like I do and you done.

I wasn't very happy about steam games in the beginning, but being able to run all my steam installed games without having to reinstall them saves soooooo much time it's awesome! thumb.gif
