Thanks! I have seem a few more green rigs with this G1 board then I had in the past, so it does seem they are a bit more popular. thumb.gif

Soon! My wire and crimp pins get here tomorrow so I can start making my own custom wires. The rest of the wc parts I think I need at the moment get hre friday. I am going to try and get the mock up done, and possibly some of the painting. It has been busy around here with the wife and kid for the holidays. tongue.gif

With the bitspower mod top upgrade, I don't think it has the top cover with 3 openings. I have 3 extra reservoirs so I used one of mine.

Excellent advise Ceteris...

Looking forward to your sleeving pics Addition..Did your pins come in?

Actually, I just got the package with all the wire and pins! It wasn't supposed to come until tomorrow, so it looks like I can get a head start on doing some of them tonight (if family allows it tongue.gif). Hopefully I will have see some progress tonight/tomorrow, and then some pictures. thumb.gif It has been slow because of the holidays.

Picture updates!

So I was going to paint my radiator today, but then I thought I might want a little bit of variance, or contrast if you will, between the radiator, fans and fittings. So I decided to go ahead and wrap the shroud in white di-noc, leaving the ends black. Let me know what you think, and if you like the way it looks. I am thinking of doing di-noc on this, the PSU and the pump mod kit from Bitspower that will be here tomorrow. I think it looks very nice personally. I have yet to decide how I am going to paint the fans at the moment, but the 3 ideas I had were white casing/black blades, black casing white blades (which would keep with the current black over white theme), and white casing/green blades. I only put one set of fans on for now, because I am just doing a mock up to see what it looks like. Please ignore the complete mess, I am not bothering with it until the rest of the parts get here tomorrow. On a side note, I am ordered MDPC crimps and crimping tool, because the stuff I got yesterday from FrozenCPU is garbage. The crimping tool folds, so they don't hold at all, and on top of that they don't crimp longer winged crimps or male crimps well enough to even put the pins in the connectors. I should have ordered them from MDPC to begin with, but better late than never! tongue.gif

Comment away on what you think would be best! thumb.gif

I kind of like the idea of keeping the outskirts of the case all black and white, as this would leave all the green centered in the rig and would draw attention to the beautiful green MDPC sleeving and pastel green Mayhems coolant. It is hard to completely imagine what it will look like when it is all done, so I am sure things will change as I get the build pieced together bit by bit.

The di-noc works thumb.gif
Interested on how it would work with the pump mod top though.

But painting your B12-3's and/or AP-15's? Maybe the AP-15's casing... Personally I'm not a big fan of painting fans, but its not like they clash heavily with your current overall scheme. Too bad you cannot di-noc the blades though biggrin.gif

Looks good Add . thumb.gif

You've probably done this...On the stuff from FrozenCPU I would recommend making comments on their site to give others your feedback and informing Geoff and the guys about the crimping tool etc.

Cheers.

Thanks Ceteris. thumb.gif I plan on painting only the AP-15's, if I paint th efans at all. Right now I have an old Xigmatek fan I'm testing green blades and white casing on. I'll be sure to post pics for people to weigh in on them. I don't really "want" to paint fans, but nothing looks the way I want minus the NB eLoops, and they are not very good in pull noise wise (read that as they make ridiculous noise in pull configuration). I just don't want the grey in my build though, it doesn't really stick with my all green/white/black theme. If it was just maybe 1 fan, I would let it go, but too many will show through with the grey color. I thought about maybe just using 4 of NB eLoops in push inside the case, and then 4 AP-15's up top since you can't see them and just not painting any fans. Nothing finalized yet, need to see how the other stuff I am painting/di-nocing turn out. I just did the XSPC Black Edition Raystorm bracket in flat white, so it will have the facia over it to be 2 tone, with a black center block and white fittings. I'll post pics of it mocked up tomorrow or maybe later tonight if it dries fully (just to give an idea of what it will look like). And I wish I could just di-noc everything that I wanted white too, it would make it so easy. tongue.gif

Thanks AVictorD. I had actually thought about that, but was so busy trying to get the parts I needed to replace them, that I had forgot all about it. Good idea though for sure, thanks for reminding me. thumb.gif

More Pictures! Well, the Raystorm Black Edition bracket had the proper time to dry so I could do a mock up of what it will look like with and without fittings. I wanted to share it with you all, and I am VERY happy with the way it turned out. I thought it a good idea to paint the actual bracket and not the facia, so it would make a nice contrast between all parts of the block and fittings. I might also do the thumbscrew portion of the mounting bolts so they would be 2 tone, but I will have to see how it looks without it painted first. I would rather mock up first, then paint if I don't like the color the way it is. My painting version of measure twice, cut once. tongue.gif Next up is to paint the GTX 680 Backplates white as well, once I disassemble them to put on the Hydro Copper blocks. I also need to decide if I want to stick with di-noc on the rad and PSU, but after how this bracket came out, man I must say I am leaning towards painting them as well. I don't want too many different shades of white in there as it would be distracting and look cheap and distasteful. So, enough talk. Time for the pictures, and let me know what you think! thumb.gif
