Yeah, vog=volcanic fog. On top of that, red clay is EVERYWHERE, so between the vog, soot and red clay, stuff gets a thorough dusting of color constantly where I'm at. It makes for difficult painting and prep, but I like to think I have done well so far. tongue.gif My time in the navy learning how to paint in terrible weather/conditions made me pretty decent at making things look good in situations that are not ideal. I hope you get some ideas though, I think it is a great compliment for someone to take an idea from you. I have had 2 so far with my trim contrast on my CPU block. Feels nice to know you are giving ideas to the community that helped spark your own. thumb.gif

Hehe, nothing wrong with that! I most definitely looked at a LOT of CaseLabs builds before deciding what I wanted to do. Even still, some things will be "fly by the seat" decisions while putting it together. I really love this hobby for the fact that you can really make something your own, even when getting ideas from others. With large undertaking and builds like ours, I don't think you will ever see the exact same 2 builds. Pretty unique for me, considering I ride Harley's and everyone seems to want to do the same things to the bike I ride (Street Bob). Hopefully between all of our builds, you get some great ideas and find fun ways to implement them in your own way. Don't forget to look at the water cooling forums too, though, as there are some GREAT CaseLabs build logs there such as Seanimus and his build.

If you go to my profile, you can see every picture I have uploaded to my build log via my photo gallery. thumb.gif Don't expect any thing spectacular like you do though Hanover! tongue.gif I will end up uploading them all to the front page via spoilers soon, though (not that it helps you out now).

The gigabyte g1 is a EATX board right? but fits the sm8 fine? Also how do you like those noiseblockers?

Yes, the motherboard tray is actually a little bit wider than my board even is. The G1 sniper 3 is 10.39" wide, and the SM8 accommodates 10.75" in width (i.e. the width of the Asus Maximus V Extreme). Pretty much the widest EATX board will fit in here no problems. thumb.gif

The Noiseblockers are nice, but definitely pricey. I don't use them for radiator fans, even though I planned too. But since they are the model meant for radiators, they are a bit noisier than the case fan models would be. They still are fairly quiet, at least to my ears. Plus, they look outstanding so that is a major bonus. I don't have to disassemble or paint them. thumb.gif

I don't ever start a build knowing how it's going to end up. That's the fun way to me. Sure, a basic plan is good, I'm just not that organized. wink.gif

Well, looks like I won't be getting my build leak tested and running this weekend... Sidewinder Computers apparently (according to pacakge tracking) JUST shipped my Durelene today, and I had ordered it Sunday... That is just plain ridiculous, so I'm going to have to wait until next weekend, sigh... It's bad enough I always have to wait so long being in Hawaii as it is, but then when you pay twice as much for shipping as what the product costs (and pay for 2-3 day shipping) and it takes that long, sure leaves a sour taste for the company.

/end rant
