It may still be awhile for benching. I also didn't get much done tonight (apologies) as the Ravens pulled off the upset of the playoffs!!!! Yeaaaaaaa boooooooy! Anyways, I contacted Dwood about possibly getting a nice PSU cover done (in lieu of painting the PSU and voiding yet another warranty). I also inquired about some custom backplates that would fit the Hydro Copper blocks if at all possible. If I can get all this done, my plan is to maybe do "Calamity" across the PSU cover and do some LED back lighting to accent it. If he can't do the powder though, I asked if he could send it off to Jim to coat it in the matte white they use (don't want anymore different shades of white in the build). Just wanted to let you folks know what might possible be in the works. thumb.gif I should have known there was no way I would finish this completely (and to my OCD liking) in 1 month haha.

You actually gave me some ideas when you started talking about di-noc
I had no idea what that was until I looked it up.
Money is tight right now, but once things open up I am contemplating on di-noc'ing my PSU.
I am definitely going to be putting some Black carbon on my Opticals though.

Thanks for the idea.
I don't know if I can say sorry for stealing the idea for using some di-noc on my build.
That's what build logs are for, right?biggrin.gif

Edit:
P.S.
How About! them Ravens!?!

Absolutely! I can't claim the idea as mine anyways, as MANY folks have used di-noc before me (for years now). So you aren't "stealing" anything from me. tongue.gif Part of the reason I started a build log was to both give people ideas based on what I was doing, as well as have others offer suggestions themselves to give me ideas. It's a 2 way street. thumb.gif

And yes, them Ravens!!!! I hope we can send Ray Lewis into retirement with 1 more ring. biggrin.gif If anyone deserves it, it would be him. The man is an icon of leadership in the game (and the game in general), and will be an example years to come used to mold younger players into talented leaders.

I tried out a new color (Glossy Key Lime) for my fan blades, and while it doesn't quite match the other greens perfectly I think it looks nice. I want to get everyone's opinions. Also, if I go with this route for my fans, I will be using the paracord over MDPC most likely, as the color is a closer match overall between this fan color, the mobo green and the mint green. Anyways, here is a couple pictures, so let me know what you think!

As usual very good paint job thumb.gif ....Don't happen to have a shot of the paracord and the Fan together?

Any shots with it in your rig?

I actually did a shot of it in the rig, with a little 4 pin molex paracord jumper I had made near the motherboard and fan. It actually doesn't even come close to matching, and it just looks...off frown.gif. Just one of those things about paint, once it dries, it can end up turning out completely different than you think it will. Oh well, it was worth a shot at least! This is what it's all about, trying stuff out and finding what is "right" for you. thumb.gif

In some respects its part of the enjoyment in building these rigs the "Gotcha's" as I call them. You end up trying something else to see if it works. Only problem is you can spend $$ a bit finding out! Ouch!

You might try mixing the two paints that turned out the closest. I got good results trying to match my crimson case by using base coats that were a different color than the top coat.
