.(I know the last scene in this clip in this is good ol' suppression)
I've been playing online games/shooters for a long time but never encountered such insane delays (even at 12ms ping from server) and hit registration lag.

This is one of the reasons I don't play the game much; the other being DICE's vision of balance. I usually try to play on servers with low latency to me, this is usually 14 on the server browser and in game, so when I do play it gets annoying getting killed by people with at least 10x the latency I have. It already feels a bit laggy against people above 45 ping but 140 to 200 is just ridiculous. I know it's an online worldwide but with the hit registration being a bit slow it gets really annoying getting killed behind cover (not to mention people can just spawn on top of each other.)

Edit: I've been vocal about this on the battlelog forums; I even suggested a sort of classic mode with no realtime minimap, no 3D spotting, squad member only spotting, and all these things that felt more balanced in BF2 because I didn't like the way the "beta" felt. The game actually feels a bit more responsive nowadays though.

After running behind it while being shot? That's just a byproduct of the internet, not much they can do about that. You see it happen all the time in the COD series as well.

You either get a delay of death on the player's screen getting shot, or "bad hit registration" on the shooter's side. Can't really "win" in this issue, it's lose/lose for the developer.

Every time you die behind cover, it's because he got enough bullets into you before you went into cover on his screen. Sounds about right to me.

Except when it normally goes: Client > Server > Other client
DICE makes it go: Client > Other Client > Server

It takes an extra step before the server verifies the hit. The server will also be slower to respond depending on how busy the server is (this means many things, but primarily how many players are on it, the server's latency and how many physic calculations and player movements it is calculating, and available bandwidth)

The end result is crappy hit registration. The broken interploration doesn't help either.

Run and gun with a sniper, then complains hit detection sucks. Try an assault rifle.
