The 7950 Boost is faster overclocked, but out of the box they are very close, and the 660 Ti beats the non-boost card out of the box.
No, at stock they are very close.

let it go already sheesh...not hardly anyone here play games at stock spec...omg...stop already...

Why should I let it go when you won't? At stock, out of the box, the cards are very close. That's not a bad thing for AMD, so why are you so adamant to deny it? We all agree the 7950 pulls ahead when overclocked.

Both of the comments I replied to were about performance at stock. Again, the 7950 is faster when overclocked, but you can't sit here and say it is no competition against the 7950 at stock (as raghu said).

But in all reality, the 7950 is a faster card than a 660 ti. It just is.
They gave you facts in a very matter-of-fact way, and you take it as condescending? I read nothing that could have been construed as condescending from those guys. What in the world are you talking about?

Are you going to claim techreport was nvidia optimized too? It just is lachen.gif Talk about defending brand loyalty! Maybe you should read it. Here is highlights from the conclusion rolleyes.gif Everyone likes to talk where is the proof? Catch that part on the end about the drivers? It JUST IS

This certainly isn't the outcome we expected going into this little exercise. Given AMD's expanded involvement with game developers and a claimed across-the-board increase in driver performance, we expected the Radeon HD 7950 to assert itself as the best choice in its class. Instead, the Radeon's performance was hampered by delays in frame delivery across a number of games.

Our first instinct upon seeing these results was to wonder if we hadn't somehow misconfigured our test systems or had some sort of failing hardware. We test Nvidia and AMD GPUs on separate but identical systems, so to confirm our numbers, we switched the cards between the systems and re-tested. The Radeons still exhibited the same patterns of frame latency, with no meaningful change in the results. We wondered about the possibility of a problem with our Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X card or its Boost BIOS causing the slowdowns, but swapping in an older, non-Boost Radeon HD 7950 card from MSI produced very similar results.

We're also quite confident the problem isn't confined to a single set of drivers

Hey dude? Those are full 3DMark scores and are reliant on the CPU too. $5 says more then 26 people got the graphics score that high.

What you should be looking at is the score in relation to the clock speed, then do some math.

12303 at 1325?
Average OC is 1250?
(12303 / 1325) * 1250 = 11606

1150?

(12303 / 1325) * 1150 = 10602

and so on.
