If you overclock a 7950 to 1.1 Ghz core it will be better than a reference gtx680 given the current drivers 12.11 smile.gif
I am only suggesting this because I am going to CF 7950s wink.gif
Based on what?
Last time I checked there's a ~13% difference in performance.

did you overclock the HD 7950. what are your highest stable overclocks. the card you got can easily run at 1.1 ghz at stock voltage. With voltage tweaking you can go further. Keep the HD 7950. its a very powerful card. at the same clocks the HD 7950 is on avg 5% slower than HD 7970.

Get a MSI 7950 OC or Sapphire
my $0.02
*msi lightning doesnt support 120 Hz monitor (no dual-link dvi port)
*sapphire 7970 ghz edition is a beast (thats what i have), though it doesnt OC as high as i wanted (ASIC <59.7%)
***THE SAPPHIRE THAT CAME TO BE REQUIRES 2X8 PIN CONNECTION...even though all the pictures show 1x6+1x8...i emailed sapphire and they said thats how they do it now, but wouldnt give me any more information, just incase your PSU cant handle that
