Its sunday now 17:00 hour and i'm making a update for my build.
I got a piece of acryl from my college at the firestation (not the right color (white) but i will change that later befor i mount it on the bottom of the pedestel.
After a few hours of sleep and a cup of coffee i was back on earth again and ready to go on with the build .
I first took of the plastic protection of the acrylic so i couth measure out the positions were i want to put the power adjusters. I want keep a distance of 1 cm between each of the adjuster.
I used my jigsaw machine to cut out the acrylic strip. I will purchase finer blades later this week because the blades i justed are not so fine to cut acrylic with.
I had to countersink the screws so that the connect properly. I couth not find all of the scews with came with the plate so i changed the mounting a bit.. Because its all prototyping i still can change the mounting later on if necessary . My intention was to let the fans cool the power adjuster a bit before the rest of the air flow leave the back.
I now think that i mount 2 sli extender to the strip so a can adjust the hight for the right cooling of the adjusters. "What do you think".
Yesterday i orderd 2 more poweradjusters and a hole bunch off molex and sata connectors so a can make the cables later on.
I have the feeling that every time i want do somthing i need to buy extra tools.
Because its one of the first days with enough sun i went in the garden took a seat and i popt open a bottle of bear and started reading chris his buildlog again "thanks again chris for you worklog" and i hope you leaks are over.
I stil need som advice if i need extra pump capacity because i have 5 XSPC 480 rads in the system.
So here are a few pictures i make today.
Last time i received the Bitspower black spackle sli extenders so i manage to connect the flowe device between the 2 rads
The left over acrylic which i got from my college
I use the front plate from the power adjusters to draw the drill holes on the acrylic
Keeping one cm distance between each adjuster
Because it was a sunny day i did the sawing outside
The screws of the frontplate from the power adjusters a countersink so the dont fit ride away
I countersink the acrylic strip with a a sharp countersink drill.
because I lost som screws (dont now where i put them) so i had to find a solution in the mean time.
The first solution is to use a few standoffs instead off the screws.
Nowe i think i order som extra sli extenders to fit to the strip so i can adjust the hight easy.
Just a picture from the side
and another picture "yes yes more more pffff"
I put the strip in the pedestel to see if it wil fit right
Manual\ guide from CPAChris "thanks again"
Easy way to find out how its made
pictures and som of the usable comments
And finishing the sunny day with "cheers"
Until next time
