Its saturday and i'm ready for the build.
I started with the waterblock of the Aquero 5 pro. The picture on the manual was not as sharp as i want but it wil do. Thats why i had to try the waterblock on a few times to see wat it covers.
I cut out the thermalpad and tried it on just a slite piece of the thermalpad stuck out and after cutting of a last small piece i mounted the waterblock with the screws ( i notice that the are slite shorter than the original) . I fasten the screws hand tide. I put back on the standoffs and remount the screen careful so that i dont bent the connections. I flipt the the screen over and mounted the front and side plates which holds the Aquero in place.
Because i dont now if the Aquero will fit in the pedestel the way i installed the rads i tried to mount it. It wont fit the way i want so i had to turn the rads in the pedestel 180 degrees so i got more space to mount the Aquero on a propper way. because i moved the Aquero to the pedestel i had to re rout the flow. Looking tru Chris his manual i came with the decision a had to make holes in the case for to pass tru the wiring and for mounting the fill ports (for the loop). I thought with my dremel it woot be a easy job. Because i wanted to use the dreme; instead of my jigsaw i thought i was in a colemine because of all the dust after 4 heavy duty disks i manage to take out a small piece of the case. To avoid the dust i cover for the next cut the top with paper. "i thought that i was cracking a safe instead of cutting out a small piece of the pedestel" well the most important thing was "I won the fight".
Tomorrow i will order 5 more fillports for the pedestel and the case.
Beacause i want to use the new D5 pomps from Aqua computer i wil order 2 pomp mounts and a extra res.
I'm also thinking about to use the 2 other pumps i use now and create 2 different loops on for the graphic cards and one for my mainboard "thinking".
I also want to put som light in the bottom there for i remove the 5e rad at the bottom of the case. "What do you think" .
By reading a lot off buildlogs i start to get interested in the capacity of the pumps "how many g/min" i will figger it out during the build i think. The question is "how many pumps do i need for my system"
advice is always welcome.
So thats for today "pictures ! oke",
to seperate the Aquero 5 pro is werry easy, 4 screws from the front plate and you can take off the front plate
I justed a special screwdriver for removing the standoffs
After removing the standoffs you can pull of the screen "pull it off straight els you wil bent the pins from the board"
Just 3 screws to remove the original waterblock
because the picure from the manual wasn't so clear i tried the block block on to see where the thermal pad have to com
just a smal piece had to be cut off "got a new sharp knife that wil do the job" O and another thing "take the thermal pad off before cutting"
With a tip i secured the screws "hand tide"
Screen back on the board "dont push to hard"
Standoffs screwed back on
Because i dont have a monkey to help me i do it the smart way myself. putting the front panel down on
its face and putting the chrome pusputtins back in. "yes you can do this too"
now put back on the screen on the front plate "No thats not the monkey holding the right cover straight thats me"
just the side plate for the mounting of the Aquero need to screwed on "you dont need a manual for that !!"
Oke i will show it
Now i have to cut in to my precious "Chris way" tape first (no size in the manual)
By the eye and the picture from the manual i draw out the place to cut out.
because this was the second hole and i dont want the mess again i put som paper to cover the case.
And did it helpt "the paper" just a little bit. Jes....... thought i was doing a safecrack instead of a modding job.
Really thick plating "cost me 4 disks for avery hole".
O yes "i like al the bling bling" was a bit off a puzzle to putting it al to fit. I noticed early before this update that "bitspower sli extenders wil help me out to connect it all together" and it did.
the flow will com in tru a fillport at the left an then tru the left rad to the Aquero and from there to te right rad. from the top right rad the flow wil go tru the middel of the pedestel to the where i install an F block (one way goos up behind the PSU to the top rads) en from the back off
the F block i will install a drainage sytem tru the bottom off the pedestel. "Yes like you have Chris" I have seen som big shinny caster at a shop witch wil raise the pedestel for about 3 inches" so i can put my hands under easy to open the valve to drain the system.
O yes you see the marking in the pedestel where i need to drill out some holes for the fillports. "also have to order a special drill for that" there goos my pocket money for this week. Forgot to metion i also put a temp sensor and a flow meter in.
One last picture "i think still put the power adjusters in the middle ( 4 x, one for each 8 fans and one for each pumps) the adjusters for the top fans i will put them in the back of the case near the PSU
So thats al for today its now 23:10 and i gonna take a beer "thanks Bart"Edited by TATH - 4/15/13 at 8:04am
