Update Update "cover for backside motherboard tray "RAW version" mounted. cheers.gif

Yesterday i began with making a hole in the backplate "WHY" o because i changed my plan and move the psu up.

Advantage:
- No need for bigger holes;
- no verry long cables;
- better access in the Pedestel;
- more cooling now there are comming tree 140mm to extra cool the Aquero's.

Negatif part:
- see a few cable when you want to look at the back "where is also a window".

Made a new AutoCAD drawing so my friend can make me a new pannel.
Phone him to day to ask if he want to make me one. "He will if he is back from his skee trip.
"DONT BREAK A LEG I NEED YOU".

First i had to mound the bottom part to the case. I put tape so i can draw a line where to drill.

In the black blocks i am going to put 4 x 3mm screws in to hold the panel.
Tapping the tread took me about 20 minutes because i cought not turn the tap around with the tool "no space". I solved it by holding the tap in one hand and using a plier.

In the bottom between the two black acrylic plates are going tru a few cables for powering the Aquero's and the ICY Docks.

Ye that holds. At the back of the motherboard tray i am going to mount a led station to power up the leds from the motherboard.

I put the cover up and markt with tape the places where i can drill.

Now it is time to drill "or do i leave the tape on" . No monkey to hold the cover while i am drilling. So more tape.

I countersink the screws in the edge of the cover. Ye job don.

Dont look at the many finger prints "cleaning is for later" .

Drank the hole evening water "i want a wodka and juice now "IT IS MY BIRTDAY OKE" smile.gif

Making a res out of this whoot be nice!

Stil working on small parts for the motherboard backplate.

Not just a hole. So that meaning more work. I cut out wit the dremel a small piece.

Now i am working on the inner edges "making it more round". To see how it looks i put a piece of tape at it.
More work but tommorow because i get visite.

Cant wait until it is sunday "NEED TO BUILD". biggrin.gif

"Ye still working on the cover"

Sunday morning and i am enjoying my day.

Back to the build.

I have to finish this piece and glu it on. When i say glue i am thinking about my last glue session where i almost glu my fingers to each other and had to take a surgeon knife to get my fingers loos again.

So avoiding it this time i try to find a nother way.
Little cover on the big cover and protection film still on.

Because i need to glue it on i have to remove a piece of the protection film.

I thought when i put a u-shape acrylic around the cover i have a guide for putting it on.
When you put glue on the small cover and you toutch the back cover you only have a second to adjust "ha ha or no adjusting time at all".
So thats why i am doing it this way "SAVER". Also when you spill just one drop off "Second glue" on you cover it will mess up your mirror look.

Now my u-shape profile is in place and i tryd to put the cover in "WHITOUT THE GLUE" i can go ahead.

Last oppotrtunity to polish the edges.

Glue in the middle where the cover is going to be. Not to much glue else the glue pop up in places you dont want it.

Putting the cover in against the right edge and putting it down "like closing a door".

To finish the inner square if have to do som filing to do. To get som space to file i put the cover on a box so i caqn do the job.

Just a few pictures to get the smiles on your faces "Ye i like it"

To have som more fun i stop for now. When i look at the last picture i am thinking "Ye have to raise the pomp plate to show it when there are bleu leds in" I think i put two strips of acrylic under it one 2 cm clear and under it one 1 cm black. The plate wil be maounted on rubber puffers to keep the vibration out of the case.

So that is it for now and i hope you like like i do. More later biggrin.gif
