Do you remember what i told about building in a light box tray. Cut two pieces from the front edge of your case and then you can slide in the box like a drawer.

Hmm....my light panel is full length, and I didn't have to cut anything. It's a little tight, but it's not that hard to R&R.

But anyway Henry I like your progress. smile.gif

Working on the cable cover.

Yesterday afternoon and evening i was working on my cable cover. It is a box sizes about 30 x 35 x 3 cm height. Made off 5 mm black acrylic left over.

Because it was to late i had to use flashlite.

I had to adjust the middle of the cover so i put a tape on the front with a marking on it.
I filed the edges "the gray parts" stil have to polish it. But first i have to cut two pieces (stripe) at the right and left side of the Aquero's as a support for the box. at the front i have one 3mm screw tru the cover and in to a 5mm stripe of acrylic wich i mounted at the ceiling of the pedestel.

Protection film stil on the cover. I want to make a few more "slope"holes in the bottom at the cover at a distance of 10 away of the Aquero. This way you stil see something from the sleeved cables.

At the beginning i put a L-shape aluminum piece on the acrylic and mounted it with 4 3 mm screws. The right and left side of the box are glued on with second glue "thanks to that i can trow my seconds pair of trouwsers away" Ha ha and i almost had to walk this week with glue on my fingers and paper stuck on it. Splendid stuff but watch out where you put it.

When you remember my acrylic piece beside the motherboard you notice the small cable covers at the 24 pin and the sata hole. This covers i am going to make also. So i have to measure the distances and make a mall first the i cut it out and stick it on the cover. This way i can see if i need to make som adjustments to it before i drill the holes in it.

The filing and making off the cover took me 3 evenings. Not to mention the time i spent on the bad cover i make befor wich i trow in the garbage can. biggrin.gif

Looking from the back of the pedestel there wil be mounted the cover with the tree 140 mm fans for extra cooling "blowing on to the Aquerows. Not that the get realy hot . I remember the temp of the passive block just get at 25 degrees max. I notice just with the use of one 140 mm fan the temp is going down for two more degrees. This is when the case is open.

Today i want to make the screws black of the cover and cut all the holes that are needed.

More work in the pedestel:
- mountingplate for the two NZXT usb- hubs.
- light "leds" for the tree 140 mm Noiseblocker Silent Pro PK-3 fans
- build in one Bitspower x- station (in the pedestel\ and one under the black box).

I also have a new bended acrylic mounting for my pomps. It has a L-shape where the plate with the two usb pomps is mounted on. This way i have a spare distance below my pomps at least 5 cm.

Ha ha it is always difficult to tell people what you mean if you dont at a picture to it.
So i guess i need to make a few pictures then.

More later today. "Sinds it is 5 hours earlier in the States i have 5 hours extra to work on my build before you al turn on your PC to watch the OCN" .biggrin.gif:D:D

It is almost 21:00 hour and i am back from my other project "turning the door off my daughters appartment into ford knox". Yes job don all my disk for my dremel gon. Need to buy new ones. I just made the two support strips for under the cable cover.

I start building tommorow again.
