Yes its time again,
Its sunday morning after a few cups of coffee and a few croissants i'm ready for it.
Today the planning is to:
- make a few cuts in the base of the Aqualis reservoir (just one finished);
- put in a fillport for the rigth reservoir in the backplate (finished);
- make the bracket of the reservoit black with wrab foil (just one finished);
Extra work not plant:
- making 2 extra holes for the cables pas tru the back (finished)
- checking for leaks after mounting the reservoir together ( until now no leaks).
No this is not an old picture. i had to dismantle al again for the job. before i could dril a hole in the back i measured out the exact
position. I cant efort to turn the case into a piece of chease with holes in in so it al takes time.
I got a new countersink drill special for these jobs.
And the pencil marks on the back wil be gon when i put it al together.
This is the base of the reservoir you see only one pas tru for the led cables at the front.
Because i want my cabling out of side i need to make a few extra pas tru's in the base.
Because i dont want any scratches in the res i dismantle al of the parts very careful.
To avoid damage on the base of the res i wrab it in also. only the parts where i cut i left open.
I dont now what the material wil do when i cut it with the dremel.
It turns out that the material melt when you put the rpm high
I used a file to finish the job. avoiding scratches it take me more time to finish.
I think there is enough sufficient room for a third wire to go in.
Befor i mount the bracket back to the base of the reservoir i wanted to make the bracket black
with the black wrab foil i purchased befor.
Not bad from a distance you wont notice that it is vinyl wrab foil.
Now its time to put the res together again. O yes i got to make a extra hole just above the bracket in the backplate for the wire to pas tru.
The o ring in the base make me a bit worried so i decide the have a leak test if the o ring is still oke.
After putting a extra valve at the front i mounted the reservoir in the case.
Until now "no leaks" i put the leds light on but because is is verry light you hardly see the light.
Perhaps i will have another try later.
Time flies when you have fun. I have to stop the office is a mes "tools al over the place"
