Just had a look at half of your build, wow very big and impressive build. How have you found the bitspower quick disconnects compared the Koolance ones?

Hi Ludo, Yes big build, enough room to work in "love it" i'm glad Chris send me this info so "no hard feelings". My sets of Bitspower quick disconnects are in backorder . i choose them because the
1/4" tread.

I spend most of my day yesterday to build a powerr harnes for my upper fans. I have work a little bit more on my wiring skills. After trowing the first pieces of the wiring away i manage to make a new harnes. The 7 mr of wire is gon in the first harnes "had to go to the shop again for another 7 mr off wire. I think i need mutch more wire so this week im going back to get more wire.

Its sunday morning 10:51 just a cup of coffee ans i'm back on the harnes again.

Hope you like the rest.

Yes Like everyone has told you just flash one to a slave and it will work good but you loose the PMW fan header and 4 of the temp sensor,s.

Best decision you ever did to get a Case Lab case. My is case huge but still so light!!

As Chris stated, you can run 2 A5's separately and I ran 3 at one time. I much prefer it over the slave setup.

Let's do a little recap on Aquaero 5's since there is so much bad information out there.
Some of this information is from my direct experience, and some is from Shoggy & Sebastien at Aqua Computer. I do make mistakes so if you spot something let me know and I'll investigate and change it if it's wrong.

Like cpachris said, you can run Aquaero's separately and see both in Aquasuite. Does not matter which Aquaero's they are as long as they are Aquaero 5 models: XT, Pro, LT.

Master/Slave Aquaero 5 setups:
Only an LT can be used as a slave in a multi-Aquaero setup.
You will lose all functionality on the LT except for voltage control of the 4 fan headers, and they will appear in Aquasuite as added fan headers to a XT or Pro unit.
For example, If you require use of the relay, you must use the relay on the Master. Same goes for the rest of the headers on the LT.
PWM function will not be available for Fan 4 header on the LT.
You can not string PA2's from the Slave (but you can from the Master by using a Y cable on the Aquabus).

An LT can not load Profiles when an alarm condition is met (according to Sebastien at Aqua Computer).
Does not matter whether it's used as a standalone unit or as a Slave.

Using the relay on the Aquaero to shut down on an alarm condition:
Method 1: Wire pins 1 & 3 from the relay across the case power wires or at the motherboard header. (same thing either way, just one would probably be at the switch, the other way would be at the motherboard header or anywhere in between the two)
Method 2: Wire pins 1 & 3 from the relay between pin 16 from the psu and the corresponding pin on the motherboard ATX connector.
Both methods rely on connecting to the the relay in a NO (normally open) contacts position. Activating the relay changes (closes) it to complete the circuit to anything connected to pins 1 & 3 of the relay.

The Aquaero can be sustained in Standby Mode by connecting the +5VSB & ground from the psu to the appropriate header on the Aquaero.
Normally this would be pins 7 (ground) & 9 (+5VSB) of the psu.

HTH.

I feel like I have upset alot of people with my mistake now.

Since I was wrong last time Ill be careful on this one, but I think you made a mistype mandrix or the thread below is wrong.

Does Method 2 not use pin 2 + 3, thats what it says on the aqua computer forum.

Im actually interest in which is right as I was going to use method 2.

Wel wel,

You are been busy also,

Its now sunday 17:37 and i have put al the tools aside.

results of almost 2 days work:

2 power harnes of the upper fans
mounting the 2 top radiators
cutting extra hole the crystal link (to connect the front with the back radiator)

The learning of making my own power harnes cost me a few hour. I am ready nowe for the rest.
Need more wire (mayby i have more time tomorrow to purchase som). 3 mr left and i forgot the harnes of the pedestel.

Match time lost with planning and preperation. Thats oke but that meaning little progress at this time.
After this updat i wil purchase 3 more PA2 and som more small parts (screws\ crystal link) .
Because all the component have to installed in a certain order i have to wait for the parts to arive. "patient patient" more small work is still
to be done in the mean time.

"He Boss i need to go out" jack charlie

The best way for the build is to empty the case first. First i do the wiring and after this i wil do the pluming.
Need more space. "Ha already got question from my wife when the build is finished" "4 months i told her" "O then you have more time
for my new kitchen". biggrin.gif:D

After i made the power harnes i wanted to instal it. because the top fans have to go in from underneath the top i needed a pair of extra hands.
No monkey around. So i have to do another trick. Put de radioators on the table and putting the case on top and mounting the fans from above.

Little progress because the learning\ planning.

More progress next week.

See ya

Today,

After the purchase of more wire i went home. I finished with one power harnes for 8 fans. Al the fans function Yes Yes. "i check always after avery connection i make"
It cost me about 3 hour to finish. stil 2 more to do "friday"

I wanted to start with putting new leds in the reservoirs. I found out that i received the wrong leds. mad.gif
I send the suplier a e-mail. "fu...fu. shi.."no i'm not angry just disapointed. only patience can save us now.

Waiting for the other 3 PA2 i purchased yesterday. And yes the are backorderd . When i get my hands on them i now where above i have to drill the hole for the wire.

And i send my faulty PA2 back to Aqua in Germany "jawohl" . got a spare when i get that one back.

Pictures at the end of the week "sorry"

Question can you use a PA2 for controling the leds "the are 12 volt" !!!! "stupid question !!!" if not no problem the i cant dim them when needed.

I'm a busy man !

Mutch talking and no pictures thats not me.
I got the need of showing my progress \ and share my mistakes e.t.c.
I told i the last update that i made my first harnes i didn't show the picture i dont no why i did not show it "mayby i find it not gut enough to show"
I always say "you can always do better" Al hanging loos because i wait on the last to fans to arrive.
And i have already cut vinyl to cover the colred wires from the fans.

My first harnes i made where the ons for the bottom fans. I made 2 harnesses and the come together behind the case.
Just with the door off and the pictures made on an angle you can see the hole i made for the wires to pass tru the back.

At the back you see a bundle of wires in a roll with a red wire tide to the 12 volt wire. I still wait for the rma from aqua for one PA2 and the 2
other PA2 i purchase a few days ago. When the are installed (4 in the back and 4 in the pedestel) i wil adjust the lenght of the wires and sleeve them also.

Waiting for the last 2 fans. And after i put the vinyl on the fans you wont notice the colored wires and the stickers.

I had to take measurements for the acryl pannels i wanted to purchase for ligthning the bottom. I wrote the measurements on a piece
of paper after this i went on with cutting out cirkels in the vinyl. After this the small paper was gone. Shi.......piep. Have to do the
measurements over again tomorrow.

mesh is fromt the pedestel stil need to make a frame or coverplate to tide the mesh down.

More on friday. smile.gifsmile.gif
