Got up 9:30,

Taken a cup of coffee and went to the shop.
I got a few small tools for my dremel. And a digital ....... tool( can find a word for it in englisch) to measure the thickness of the tubing.
So now i can make my own crystal links. Got 2 orders out for tubing. One shop put my tubing on backorder so i went to a special webshop for acrylic stuff. And bought the needed parts there.

I wish all shops show what the have in stock and not let people buy things and tell them later al things are on backorder.

Back to you later "have to do som shopping for dinner now" . biggrin.gif

Sure. It wasn't meant as a criticism, I just wish there was a comprehensive guide posted. But maybe it's better this way, I'll either end up with something unique or at least learn something along the way. Maybe I'll learn that I don't know what I'm doing. biggrin.gif

Its now 01:00 hour ,

I just finished one harnes of the pedestel. After the 4e connection i noticed that the flow was going in the wrong direction "from right to left" i had to solf that small problem too . I flipt the radiators so the connections are now on the bottom side of the pedestel and the air flow is going from left to right.
I notice one strange thing. When i connect the 8 fans to a PA2 and then switch on the spare 550 watt psu al the seems to start a few seconds and the stop an after 2 seconds the same thing over and over again. When i pull of one fan rhe fans starting with full power then i attach the las fan and no problem. First i thought that i connected the wires wrong but the are in the right position.

Who have seen this befor!!!

Tomorrow i will conect as usb cable to my laptop and use the aquasuite to check it out.

After the first 4 connections i noticed that the air flow is going the wrong direction. So i disconnected the Aquaero and flipt both of the radiators.
Now the airflow is going the right direction and the connectors are on the bottom side. I had to remove the bottom plate to get access to my connectors.

Tomorrow i wil secure the harnes with a few tireps.

I wanted to show you how do the soldering. because i dont now where my tool is to hold the wires is put the connector between a plier

Because the 3 pin connectors not arrived yet i cut the old connectors of the extra fancables and use them for my new harnes.

little headshrink on and ready for sleeving.

Final test with the PA2. The 3 long wires hanging over the case i cut and sleeve them before i connect them to the PA2 when the are in the right position.

I hope that pulling appart wil com to an end "I want to build" well more tomorrow .

You say that the fans connected to the PA2 start up wide open? That's probably right if it's just connected to the psu. I think the default setting is 100% unless it's been changed via software.
Or you talking about something else? I didn't quite understand what you meant.

Morning Mandrix,

You got it right, fan to PA2 and PA2 to PSU. smile.gif

Got myself a monkey,

I need more shrink tube. So i went up early. purchased 15 mr wire "i think somebody is stealing my wire" ha ha.
So i want to make the last harnes today. I notice that wen the 8 fans are one its like a airco so i thinking of putting the 4 bottom PA2 in the pedestel.

O yes i bought myself a monkey

This is a better picture. pedestel on its back so i can work on the harnes. 3 long wires hanging out "waiting for the final cut" .
Spare psu 550 watt for testing at the left. i test avery connecting after making them.

lol, I have one of those. Never heard it called a "monkey" before. smile.gif

BTW, the led's you are going to be using for your light box....are they RGB or single color?
What I was thinking about.......the Aquaero has two "pwm" outputs which are 1A capable. I will do some testing when my led strip get's here and see how much current they draw and see about connecting them to the pwm outputs. This way they can be dimmed or brightened or even use a software controller in Aquasuite......I had bought two of the connectors a while back then pretty much forgot about them until today when I saw someone post about using those outputs to drive led's.
This wouldn't work for RGB but should work fine for single color led's.

Well i gave i a name myself "humor i think" , the leds are single color bleu from TFC.
I wunder if i can connect my leds to a PA2 "without burning them" is it posible to turn down power for the leds. I dont now shi..... about leds its a complete new world for me. But i'm like my Jack Russel i byte in to it and never led go. So i have to do som more homework. smile.gif

Well if your led's already have resistors (like the singles or strips that have a 4 pin molex) then yes you can run them off any 12V source.
Darlene (IT Diva) wrote some stuff in my log a few days ago about led's in general and resistance, I'm not an expert on them I just use the recommended resistor for each one.
I'm running some led's off my FC8 fan controller. I buy single led's and resistors lately and solder them in myself and put a 3 pin fan plug on the end.
For my RGB led's that are plugged into the Aquaeros I don't have any resistors because they are already in the Aquaero.

Jack Russel's are hyper little dogs. I have a Boston Terrier/Miniature Doberman mix that is my lil' buddy, and she can be pretty hyper sometimes. She does like her frisbee.....pretty good at catching it most of the time.
