Update 62 "leds for the master"

Chris asked what it wil look like if i put leds inside.
After i made the 16 screws for the PA2's the right length i drilt 3 small holes in the back for the 3mm leds 12 volt.
I wonder if i can dim these also like my new leds.
Now you see the bleu coming out tru the bottom but if i put it flat on a sidepanel it wil look better.

I wanted to see this also because i want to make a 4 steps staircase like a frame for the samsung 840 pro who i'm going to install at the front.

You were asking about monitoring temperature on the PA2's....I think the amp temps show up in Aquasuite. Not 100% sure since I haven't used mine in a while.......but it would be under the Temperatures listing somewhere for the Aquaero if connected by Aquabus.
I'm having to go back and do some wiring myself. Of course I had to make a new SATA power cable since I moved all my drives to the lower pedestal.....and my case fan wiring harness is not showing rpm so I think I will just make a new one and be done with it.
Weekend was Windows install from hell with SSD's and Windows not playing well together. buttkick.gif

So we al keeping busy. I completed the buildlog of Seanamus448. I wanted to find out how he does the wiring to shutof the Aquaero's . I made a big mistake whit that "the switches arent for the lightning" not for the Aquaero's. Stil learned a few things.
- about the usb hub
- switches for the lightning.
(seen a 3 bay bracket to mount the 2 Aquaero's and the switches in one) need to find out if i got these to in the caselabs bag.

I dont ask you any more if you got your Aquaero back yet because a month ago i send back a PA2 for rma and not even a receive message. I purchase 2 new ones so if the other 2 (defect ones) going back for rma i dont have to wait befor i got them back.

Yes its always from hell when there are problems. Never the easy way. I always keep my data on a raid 5 synology so if there are problem like new installing the system software its more quicker.
Before i had 2 vertex 2 in raid 0, and i need 3 more samsung 840 pro 256 gb for this baby. "waiting for extra cash".

The temps, i will look in to it when i start testing again. Chris told me that the PA2's show up as fans. so i didn't notice them during the frist test.

Still big fun with building.

Yes I can not wait to get home and explore this some. I have decided I am going to make room for another test set up and start playing with this.... hooked into my laptop... looking at temps and controlling fan speeds!! biggrin.gif

That is one beautiful PA2 bracket! Now I can't decide whether I want to copper plate mine or make a lighted LED one like yours. Very nice!

He Chris,

Thanks for the compliment. I was thinking if you take a piece of acrylic 8mm thick and put the strip you have on top and underneath the acrylic (slope edge) it wil look good.
wires tru the back. with a ledcontroller you can make the light as bright as you wish.
What do you think!

Long time ago old friend.
Stil following the build "nice" . have to take a look of your rig "Aqualis build in yet!".
It's not in yet. I need to find a way to mount the tube + pump to the case floor instead of the case wall. For a man of your skill, that's easy, but not for me. smile.gif I'm going to the hardware store today to try to find some sort of L-shaped bracket I can buy for cheap. Otherwise, I'll have to make my own and I have no idea how. smile.gif
