Update 68 "crystal link"
Yes another day in paradise and its time again to work on Hill 7.9.
I noticed yesterday that there was little dust on the top. "dont like dust in my case" So whe dont have bed cheats tonight "just joking". But no more\less dust in the case.
I drilt a few holes for the cables from the res. "Mayby i change the buildname in to cheese hill because of the many holes i drilt already" . I'm thinking about getting another piece off acryl behind the pumps at the front. I think it wil look better. I already have a piece to cover the back to cover the wires.
I did the wiring of the last res. This time i did not use the pen knob to get the wires tru the sleeving. I thought its just a short piece and it wil pass tru easy and it did. So it was a quick job this time.
Yes always testing "cost time but its better then break down the build afterwards.
I wanted to make a start with the making of my own crystal links tubes. First i measured out the length which goos in.
And there are the tubes i got. Notice the differance !!!.
The first is the original one size 12,10 thick 1,08
The next one "yes from left to right" is one i bought seems almost the same like the original on size 12,15 thick 1,08
The third i bought at the same shop where i got my acryl from mutch thicker size 12,36 thick 2,0
Although the second one is almost the same i start with the thick one.
First i need the exact size off the tube i need. So i put a few 90 degree connectors in the pumps and a multilink at the end. To be shure that al parts are straight in line to each other i put a strip behind.
Just for the picture i did it so. Distance between the 2 crystal links (with the 2 o-rings in it) + 2 x inside distance yes that isssssssssss... 122,37 sharp.
Because i dont have machines to do the trick and i'm not drunk i have to find a way to draw a straight line where i have to cut the tube. I just use a spare o-ring and uesed the micro meter as a guide to het the o-ring straight.
What a job.
Piece of tape around it.
Almost smooth. Because i saw of a slide bigger piece than needed i will sand\polish it down to the right size with watherproof sandpaper. Takes a while but that is oke.
Meanwhile i can think at all other things that need to be don.
I was just watching my own buildlog and i notice that the pump leaning a bit inwords. Grr,,, have to take a look at that later. I wil put a mark in the to do list so i dont forget it.Edited by TATH - 6/19/13 at 3:04pm
