Honestly the 8150 and 8350 are really no different then an unclocked i5. I had a 8130 orginally but sold the whole pc. it was overclocked to 4.6 from 3.1 which was supper easy but the 3770k i picked up to start a new build gets better frame rate then my 8130 did.

Get the 3770K or the 3570K and a UD3H board and don't look back. If you are planning on running more than 2 graphics cards then go with something like the i7-3820. A UD3H can run 2 graphics cards at x8/x8 which according to benchmarks x8/x8 vs x16/x16 is seriously close and you won't lose performance by going x8/x8. My opinion is go with the 2x GTX 670's and get a UD3H and a 3770K, but if you want to go tri-sli then the LGA-2011 platform seems reasonable. But if you live near a Microcenter their deals on processors / motherboards are amazing. To me the i7-3820 seems like a bad buy because of it not being unlocked, and you are probably gonna want to upgrade when IB-E comes out if you get it. Not to take anything away from the FX-8350 which is a true contender, I just see the 3770K being a better for this.

3770K / 2x GTX 670's / UD3H = Amazing biggrin.gif

For the same price, a 7970 would absolutely destroy a 670.

Got a point there. But the OP said he was going to SLI GTX 670's, if I was him I would go 7970's.

I get the Intel thing.. Intels are amazing! but AMD have brought their game back on form with the Vishera (i feel).. (the old FX not so much @mlibby1980)

The 8 cores.. really I just wanna share the AMD lurv right here.. wow.. I was playing BL2 in 1440p with MSE AV running on full scan in the background with no slow down..just..wow.

I haven't tried the newer Intels myself, but I would guess its my old adage 'AMD for price and capacity, Intels for speed and operability' operability like compatibility that MS and everyone out there will prolly but using Intels to test and refine their software. What do you guys think.. am I talking rubbish on this note? the i5's I hear are really nice and no disrespect to Intel.. but AMD are back on track. just an opinion.

IF money is a factor to the OP, man, I'd seriously consider the Vishera, the saving alone could enable a three way SLI (depending on which Intel you bought) and ROG formula V does three way.. the guys are prolly right though on the Nvidia thing, AMD is a better price point / gpu power. but then again three 660ti's would kik much az too. that 192-bit bus makes no impact on me cos of the SLI, it more than compensates for the frames and res I want.
