Overclocking My Old Rig. Would Appreciate Tips.

Thread Starter
Hi i just bought the new parts for PC. So i want to overclock this machine as much as i can.

My Specs Are.

XFX Geforce 8200 motherboard
Phenom x4 2.2
Kingstone HyperX 4gb Dualchannel 800mhz
HD Radeon 6670 GDDR5 1gb

Video Card

So for the graphics card i was able to overclock it to it's max setting with no issues and no overheating at all but i don't get that much of a boost:

The Default Clocks for the cards are:
GPU Clock: 800
High Performance Memory CLock Settings: 1000

I was able to get it up to:
GPU: 900
Memory:1150

And the card is running like a champ. Is there any way to overclock the card past this setting as the AMD software won't let me get it past that?

Phenom

For the CPU i tried different settings From the Justwoot options that the board comes with.

I was able to overclock the Cpu up to 220mhz but after 20 minutes of using it at that speed i get a blue screen.

I started increasing the values gradually for each of this options.

CPU Voltage Control
SB to K8(CPU) Frequency
CPU Frequency, MHZ

So if i set the Voltage and the SB to K8 on auto i am able to overclock up to 210 without crashing.
If i increase to 215 with the same settings as above all on auto after a while it crashes but not always.

After trial and error i manage to have it up to 215 with 1.350 voltage 2000mhz for the Sb to K8 and it works way better since it crashes less it takes like about 40 minutes to do so and something it doesn't.

How can i go about tuning this settings to be more stable. I really don't care if it messes something up i kept with this rig for the purpose to learn to overclock.

I also wanted to overclock the ram but i have no idea how to as the settings i have on my board don't match with the others iv'e seen around.

I leave here some pics of the setting of my BIos

Thank You.
