Upgrading to a new system and I'm "out of the loop"

Okay, so I snagged the deal of the century on a 3770k. It was a deal where I couldn't hesitate so bought it on the spot. So it pushed me into building a new system.

I'm set that I will buy the ASrock Extreme4 Z77.

As far as memory though...

My current system is an i3 540 OC'd to 4.2GHz with 8GB (4x 2GB) G.Skill 1333mhz OC'd to 1600mhz at CL9 times. Now I'd like to bump it up to 16GB and 2133 frequencies are looking really nice but I hear there are a lot of issues going that fast in general.

I'd like to upgrade to the 16GB RAM because of some VMware workstation labs I do for class. I'm not an elitist and don't need CL8 times but getting up to 2133MHz would be nice but not necessary. Sub $100 recommendations would be great!

Thanks everybody!
