with my current 580 in sli would it be worth upgrading to sli 680?

You'd definitely see a good boost in performance but the question remains would you have any use for added performance? Is there a single game out there that you can't max with your current setup?

Unless you're hitting some kind of vram wall (unlikely since you are gaming @ 1200p) I'd stick with the 580 SLI's until the new nVidia cards are released next year.
