So, after 2 days of using my monitor for movies, gaming, browsing and photo editing, I can conclude that it's worth the asking price. The colors pop but aren't over saturated, the panel is about 95-99 percent uniform with little to no noticeable back light bleeding or clouding even at max brightness. The stand is really sturdy and does a great job @ tilting and rotating without much force at all. There are no dead pixels or any "eraser" sized marks but I did find dust at the bottom middle portion of the screen. I noticed that I can press the panel a few mm in but I"m sure that's normal since a tighter fit would probably create BL bleeding.
Forgot to add, if you are going from a TN monitor to an IPS 1440p you WILL be amazed! If you are going from an IPS 1080p to an IPS 1440p, you'll appreciate the increase in PPI but the jump won't be as great. I went from a 42" IPS HDTV to this monitor and even though the picture is awesome, I really do miss the size of my HDTV.... too bad there are no great 30" 1440p monitors for a not so insane price.Edited by DADDYDC650 - 4/28/13 at 5:51pm
