yeah thanks guys im real excited about this and appreciate your support. god knows im gonna need all your help to get it done!

On the contrary, I'm jealous of YOU. You have your parts, and if you really wanted to you could mess around with some of your stuff. thumb.gif Plus, you get to look at the eye candy over the weekend! Either way, loving the part selection so far. Still upset you got the last of the classy's though, way to outdo my rig, geesh! tongue.gif Good luck on your finals by the way.

*As I look over the same posts waiting for an update*

Do tell how easy you think it would be to fit full 80mm thick 480 rads in there! (My tentative plan with an SM-8)

Good luck on your exams!

I would have to double check but im not sure you could do 80mm with push/pull as well, maybe wiht just push not sure, but even then i think it might be too tight w/o a pedestal...
i know they are soon to release the st10 (or something) which is the sm8 but just taller so that 80mm can fit push pull in top and bot w/o ped so you may want to hold out for that...

Well, there is 114mm of clearance between the top of the mobo tray to the top of the case, and the same for the bottom. So, you could fit 80mm thickness monstas in there, but just not in push/pull. If you wanted push pull, you could run 60mm thick radiators (there is one way to run 80mm thick with push/pull up top, and that is to buy the extended top and put the pull fans between the case top and the extended top...the top is 120mm, so technically you could do a 80mm thick rad and 1 set of fans up there, and 1 set of fans inside the case too). You could always get the pedestal though, and go completely over the top with radiators. tongue.gif

You know.. we might just HAVE TO go OTT biggrin.gif
If a CL case is already in the mix, it sorta already leans on the OTT side of the house.
Anywho, not to hijack the thread! Thanks for the info y'all! cheers.gif

jmoria59 what a cool build..! I'm pretty much in the same place as you, albeit a bit behind and with a slightly lower budget.

I'm just in the process of ordering my SM8 from CL to start my first build ever..! So i will be following yours here!

Thanks for sharing with us!

after i fail my last final tomorrow ill start back up again and post some more pics, im likely gonna need some help on my loop order as well so gonna draw up a couple diagrams and have you guys steer me in right direction. Also open to ideas for order in my front bay devices (led control, fan control, blu-ray, dual bay res, fan bay). excited to get this thing up and running so stay tuned!

What a coincidence, I think I'll be getting started with mine after my last final tomorrow too! tongue.gif I want to make sure all my components check out before the 30 day RMA period for Newegg disappears. thumb.gif Also, since we have very similiar builds and components, if you want I can post my 3 proposed loops for you to get an idea of some of the options with our type of components. It could also give you an idea of front bay device placement (just know in advance that some of my loop ideas have rads up top and in front, rather than up top and in the bottom). Let me know if you want to see the diagrams.
