Recommend me a GTX 670!

Hi guys

So I've come into a bit of money and want a new graphics card

I've been tossing it up between a 660ti and 670 and decided the 670 will probably last longer

Which 670 do you guys recommend? I've always liked the EVGA ones as I think they look a lot better than others

Thanks

Depends if you want a quieter gpu or cooler gpu. The Gigabyte I believe cools a bit better with the aftermarket cooler. The Evga FTW are also very good. I believe both GPU's overclock fairly well too.

Either way check out this benchmark over at tom's"

MSI GTX 670 PE / Gigabyte GTX 670 WF3 / EVGA GTX 670 FTW

Get the cheapest of 3. EVGA does have the best customer service, but it is also the noisiest card.

I can only recommend MSI PE or Gigabyte Windforce.

All I can say is no matter which way you go with the 670 make sure you get one with 4GB of Vram because in the long run you will feel more comfortable running high end games at higher resolutions. (ex: 2560x1440) For an example Minecraft with a 512x512 texture pack uses up over 2.3GB of Vram kookoo.gif

If a game like Minecraft can use up that much Vram imagine what Crysis 3 and 4 will do. So in light I'd have to recommend Either of these cards:

*1: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 SC+ w/Backplate 4GB
(I would go EVGA for their superior Tech support and RMA process)

*2: ASUS GTX670-DC2 4GB
(I would go for this one if noise and heat are an issue for you as this uses a better HS then the EVGA counterpart)
