Review of the Deathadder 2013 - Page 11

post #101 of 345

Anything at 6/11 and below is fine.  Even 5/11 which can technically be considered "inaccurate"

Avoid 7/11 or higher as theres noticeable precision decrease as you're telling windows to skip positive counts based on multiplication values.

 Having absurd DPI counts is absolutely meaningless otherwise.

~~~~~~~
In other news, I firmly believe DA2k13 utilizes a single resolution value (6400) scaled via synapse/controller.
There's a bit of evidence supporting this, but I'm not going to claim anything until im very confident.  (Which likely isn't soon)
Thanks for the info, Skylit.
Do you know any detail that I could find useful about the 3.5G? I mean, is its native DPI 1800? Is it better to keep it at 1800 or 3500 or any related advice? On Windows I keep it at 6/11, presicion disabled ( I also applied the "MarkC fix" in any case ).
1800/3500.  900 and 450 are recalculated evenly off of 1800 step.
EPP on or off won't matter with MarkC fix successfully applied.
And I don't necessarily trust anyone not involved with product development.
Support could merely mean that the mouse defaults at 1800 for all you know.
I don't think this has been mentioned already, so I figure i'll ask.
in the past i've owned both the Deathadder 3G and 3.5G. I was playing FPS games at a relatively low sensitivity and often when I swiped quickly across my SS Qck+ to turn around my crosshair would end up in the sky or pointing down at the ground. this would happen on both mice. I talked to others who also owned deathadders and they, too, had the same issues I did, even on different mousepads (including razer-branded ones). it was frustrating and I ended up buying an MX518, which eventually broke, and then an Intellimouse 3.0, which also broke quite recently. neither of these mice exhibited the same issues the deathadders did.
I thought max tracking speed had something to do with it, but it doesn't really make sense. I believe the deathadders previously mentioned have greater advertised max tracking speeds than the mx518 and ime 3.0.
if this problem does not exist with the new deathadder, then i'll most likely pick it up. otherwise, I think i'll go with a g400.
thanks for any help.
I noticed that problem with the DeathAdder 3.5G while using Synapse 2.0 but not with the Legacy drivers. I am currently testing the DeathAdder 2013 and just like the Krait 2013 it's able to keep up with very fast single swipes and very fast l/r or r/l swipes.
Deathadder 3G and 3.5G at 450 and 900 dpi seem to have lower max tracking speeds. Can't confirm for 3.5G, but esreality mouse test by sujoy did prove that this was true for the Deathadder 3G, probably a V2.
I picked up the DA 2013 in a store yesterday and after playing CS:GO with it for a few hours I am really undecided.... I did the usual 180 flick tests I do when I get a new mouse, to test for any pos/neg acceleration and both my old 3.5g and 2013 are both excellent with similar results (@900dpi, 1.155 sens in-game). However, in game I feel that I'm not getting the same level of precision as I did with the 3.5g. I was thinking that maybe 900 dpi does not perform as well on the 2013 as it did on the 3.5g, so I'm going to tinker around with different settings to see if it performs the same.
IMO, its the only logical thing, i thought of this already but idk a way to prove it, the native steps could also be 1800/3500/6400, but at the moment everything is pure speculation.
Just think about the 3.5G where synapse does all the calculating, it could be the same with the 2k13 just with better implementation, tough i dont see the point in software calculating instead of the usual /2, /4, via MCU.
