I just got it for the new sensor and check out if the new switches can change the mushy feeling of the Black, and this mouse is way better. Switches are much more haptic, feels much more like my Sensei, which I've been desperately trying to find a match for as I love the mouse, but hate the metallic paint, the stucco plastic hood feels great and the laser seems just as accurate, but different feeling.

Also, this mouse seems to perform better at higher DPI. I used my Black at 1200, which feels too slow for the 2013.

Props to Razer...

my god.. what kind of monster is that in your avatar? kill it with fire asap.

Lift off is barely anything... not quite sure how to measure it, but it's so minimal and it's adjustable to boot if you calibrate your mouse to your mousepad (which I did not). I also have zero "spin around" issue. Weight feels the same, all I need to do is change the feet out with some hyperglides, other than that, it's all golden.

Between myself and a friend that does not post here, we are now up to 5 2013 deathadders that have the spin issue, out of 5. All 5 have the lift off and spin issue.

He's sending his back for a couple more replacements, but I'm going to stay away from it for a while. I may just stockpile 3.5g deathadders.

Sucks.

The %50 off deal almost got me the other day but RAZER was out of stock on everything as soon as the deal started.

Will wait for software improvements and a good sale to see if I will ever try this mouse out.

I prefer laser sensors. I had original DA and a BE DA as well. Now play with laser sensor mouse which I find super smooth.

so after 1 rma and still get the faulty mouse, did you have to pay the shipping a second time to ship it back due to razers incompetence to test the mouse before shipping it to u ?

also questions to both of you guys, for 5 of those mouse did you use the calibration feature where you let the sensor calibrate on ur mousepad surface?

Was there any testing at all on Razer's part... I can only guess this was rushed for portfolio inflation.
This is pretty pathetic for what is supposed to be a simple rehash.

EDIT: speaking from experience. 2 of my friends have the 2013 edition and both have spinning issue/random flick.

They sent samples around to pro/known gamers a few months before release.

Can't say if input was sent back to R&D as it was likely marketing or a similar department that actually sent out the products.  I'm actually not 100% clear on the issue as I don't have a 4G on me.

maybe ur 2 friends can reply to this thread
http://www.overclock.net/t/1344132/deathadder-2013-lift-off-distance-and-spinning-issue/40
and then email that thread to razer support to tell them this isnt isolated issue?
2 mouse and still spinning issue so iim growing tired and hoping razer can start an actual investigation.
