What did you end up replacing it with?

Are there any problem at 900dpi with a deathadder 2013? I have read that the older deathadder dont work very well with settings other than 1800dpi

No it's no problem. 450 and 900 on 3.5G DA works fine as well, if you use the legacy driver and not Synapse. 3G DA suffered from lower tracking speed on other than 1800 DPI.

Not in my experience, the 3.5G also had lower tracking speeds at anything other than 1800, with the legacy drivers. But the 2013 should work fine.

i really dont get what everybody's talking about with "da2013 has smoothing"....
i dont feel like my deathadder isnt precise or anything. yes, it tracks smoothly, but that only means, that it doesnt jitter...

As much as I think "smoothing" is total crap, you can't really pull out the professional gamer card. There are tons of pros that use complete turds as far as mice go. Hell, even Grubby, an amazing SC2 player and one of the best WC3 players on the planet, uses a frikkin Steelseries Ikari Laser. There was also a time when a bunch of the EG SC2 team started using the Razer Taipan. Another mouse that has horrible tracking by this communities standards.

Pros will be good in spite of whatever tool you put in their hand. It just takes them some time to adjust and they're off to once again smoke the rest of us mortals in their respective games.

Some people on OC are just OCD with all this smoothing.
I never took what they said for anything because for me It is garbage.

I do fine with any mouse that has "smoothing", do fine with lasermice aswell after getting used to it.

Some people on OC are just very, well lol.

Ignored them all because meh It is just garbage, nothing else.

Have you ever tried alternating back and forth between a Deathadder 2013 and a Deathadder 3.5G or 3G? I have and find the input lag and choppiness of the 2013 pretty noticeable. But totally appreciate that others may not.
