Sata connector cracked off motherboard can i buy a new one ?

bad news today i was cleaning up my computer and moving my hardrives i put the hardrive down on the bottom of my case and heard a crack the sata connector on my motherboard cracked and now i only have 1 working now can i purchase the connector and solder it in

Sorry mate this cant be done. Even if you could you wouldnt be able to solder it properly Its too difficult for Human hands.

However have you thought os a SATA PCI card ?

I think you could, its just 7 pins and 2 clips that hold them on, if you have an old mobo take those, but you can destroy the board in the process

well i think i could solder it i have replaced bad capacitors on a motherboard and it worked but i dont want another pci card in my computer

Its risky Business. Doing so could kill your motherboard.

yeh but it is trouble if you want to reformat you have to have a pesky floppy disk for the drivers.

Yes it will boot from it and formatting shouldnt be a problem as ive used PCI sata CARDS and there fine.

what sata pci card did you get that worked fine with formatting i dont want to get one that needs drivers on a floppy cause i dont have a floppy drive
also im getting tired with my north bridge fan i have oiled it many times and it keeps making a buzzing noise after a month or so but the problem is i have a thermaltake big typoon so space is limited
