Hrrm, I love the Dawn of War games - would be really hard for a W/W40K game to top those for me. I guess I wouldn't mind an exact copy of the tabletop game though for the pc with online multiplayer and minus the insane costs of buying a physical tabletop army...

I totaly support this as I love the Warhammer universe. DoW is a great series but never really drew me in, would be nice to see if they could bring something similar to SC2 but with the raw brutal nature that is Warhammer. Throw in some nice micro details and it could be sick.

They've left two games unfinished on a horrible engine.

I cannot disagree more. SC2 works for SC2 but i will definitely not enjoy a Warhammer based game that play's like that. I would like to see a Total War type game for Warhammer that is spread across all of the planets and you can build pretty much anything in the Warhammer universe.

I loved all of them up till Total War Napoleon. That game never drew me in mainly because they didn't have a world domination map. As for Shogun.... well it's alright. It's fun to play with a friend but I can never get past about an hour or two of play time per nation. It just doesn't draw me in for some reason but it could be those damn loading screens.wha-smiley.png

THink SC2 was a bad example. Personally I did not like the Total War series at all, not trashing them just they weren't my taste. Only part of SC2 I am talking about is the actuall base building aspect. As far as overall aspect I am thinking more of the game Planetary Annihilation. Except on a much larger scale and far more grim.

This is very simple, crude, and totaly off the top of my head :
-Large multi planet map, with moons
-Each player begins on their own planet for their main base of operations
-Players expand to other planets and moons for resources and strategic positioning

Vague concept I am thinking.

Warhammer+Total War is a match made in heaven. I would also love to see a Warhammer 40k mod for the newest X-Com. Space Marines vs Tyranids.
