Prime stable but not SuperPI?

Thread Starter
Hey,

i have a problem by running SuperPI @ 2.6

I run SP2004 for about 30min, without errors! I started SuperPI 1M and runs ~10sec. and I got BSOD

may happen...

I restarted and run SuperpI again, same BSOD

I started Memtest from boot CD and run it without errors for up to 600%

But SuperPI does always not work! Is there anything I make wrong?

Thanks for any Ideas!

The BSOD is probably caused by your memory. Though, what version of super PI are you using?

Here's the thing, 30 minutes of SP2004 doesn't mean much. If you run it for 4 hours on blend and can't pass pi then you can start worrying.

If so why does it be stable for in prime 30 minutes and in SuperPI just for 10sec. ?

Edit: I downloaded SuperPI 1.4 from techPowerUp and its working without BSOD´s but the time sucks... I got in 1M ~35sec. @ 2.6GHz! normally I get this @ 2.4 but Im happy thats its running!

you should run sp2004 for hours, if you can let it run 6 hours. superpi fails because of two things. #1 your processor isn't stable, or #2 your ram is running too high of a frequency.
