Great replies. Really does help. thumb.gif
CPU: It isn't necessarily a 100% gaming machine. I will be using it for everyday use so the best performance I can get, I'll take. Hoping the hyperthreading would help with specific programs and browsers.
Motherboard: Money isn't necessarily a factor. Heard the board I chose was overall pretty stable and overclocks well, so that is why I listed it.
Storage/SSD: The "boot" drive will be the main drive for the OS and all programs while the second SSD is for steam games. Typically I do not leave many games installed after I beat them. My current steam folder is 115GB, but that is with 12 games installed. I may look into the 512GB version of the 840 pro or 830 though. I don't really keep movies, videos, music, or photos on my computer, so I don't necessarily have a need for a 3TB HDD. Trying to get out of the HDD era anyways. tongue.gif
GPU: Again, money isn't necessarily a factor. I have had bad experience with ATI/AMD as well. Perhaps I will just wait until 8xxx product line from AMD or 7xx from nvidia and see how the performance turns out. Have SLI 580s, don't necessarily want to downgrade performance. However, been told many times to move to the best single GPU solution and want to get rid of all microstutter.
PSU: I have an AX850 now. Like it, so figured I would upgrade the new system to an AX860i. smile.gif
Radiator: Not a big fan of draining/refilling a custom water cooling setup. At least with the CPU water cooling, it doesn't require much maintenance because it is a closed loop.
Thermal Paste: Wasn't aware of the quality it came with. Had been using arctic silver 5 and it stated it could lower temps up to 12 C. As for the thermal paste remover, saw it in a video on newegg. Curiosity came to mind if it was any good. tongue.gif
Monitor: I love the samsung monitor though. smile.gif Never seen a dell U3011, but I heard the U3013 is coming out soon. Too late to return the samsung monitor anyways since I've had it for 3 months now. Besides, next monitor upgrade will probably be 4k resolution or 2k with 120hz.
Keyboard: Rarely play MMOs to be honest. But, I do like the overall look of the K90. Plus, it uses cherry mx red and with the dampers, it will be quiet. I'm aware not all keys are mechanical, but I've only owned a G19. So, I'm not familiar with what a "good" keyboard is.
Mouse: I currently use a razer mamba 2012. There are two things I dislike about it though. One, the software. Two, when holding down left and right click, then try to scroll, it has a certain force blocking the scroll. I was just curious if there was a better mouse than the mamba 2012.
Other Audio: Reason for the headset is I also use it for console gaming. Mostly a PC gamer, but I do have friends who play on console. Best thing for console is the setup I have now I believe. Also, if I picked up a sound card, wouldn't that lower the GPU PCIE slot from x16 to x8 since it is a 1155 board?
The rig in my sig is indeed what I have now. I am just handing it off down the family line and building myself a better one. smile.gif

What games would you be playing?
For a mech keyboard I would go with Professional Model S (Tactile Soft). It uses brown switches, very good for gaming and since you aren't playing MMOs you shouldnt need those side buttons on the K90. thumb.gif

For a Mouse, you should look into the G500, lots of people like it.

Picking up a sound card should not lower your PCIE slot from x16 to x8. It depends on your board and you sound card. The Asus Xonar DX uses that mini PCIe, so you can just stick it in a mini PCIe slot., most current ATX mobos have at least one or two. thumb.gif

I play a lot of games. Just about every genre. smile.gif Just not too much MMOs. I know I wouldn't need the side buttons on the K90, but it does look like a nice keyboard. Plus I heard mx red is quiet, though I have been using the G19 which is rubber, so I don't know what is best.

I want to have an upgrade over the razer mamba 2012 mouse.

Went ahead and purchased the Cosmos II case, K90 keyboard, and R.A.T. 7 mouse. smile.gif Decided not to get thermal paste/remover since the H100i supposedly comes with thermal paste. I also picked up a steel series QCK heavy desktop mat to replace my current one. Unfortunately, still undecided on what fans to get and how many to get. Then, need to decide what the next purchase would be. tongue.gif

For the most part, if everything checks out, I just need a proper fan controller and amazing fans. smile.gif Any objections or suggestions on the current remaining parts that need to be ordered?

the gentle typhoon by scythe is supposed to be really good,,,nzxt isnt a bad one either,,,your probably gonna push pull that 240mm rad on top

with my h100 i only have push fans,,i hooked them to the chasis fans on motherboard,,,run them with the asus thermal radar software,,,,it works real nice,,they go up and down in RPMs like crazy,,,but most of the time i cant even hear them

with the old h100,,when you plugged the fans into the pump,,like the directions say,,,you have low med or high,,,,or better yet quiet--med and loud
