It's nice to see a developer actually want to make the game they want, not rush it out when the publisher demands. That and the fact there is no MP and it's shaping up to (hopefully) be an excellent single player game, something that seem very rare these days, especially on the pc.

No one complains when Nintendo delays games, and it's for good reason. I'd rather wait an extra year and put down $60 for a polished, well made game than have it 'on time' aka not complete filled with bugs and dissapoint...

If only more developers would follow this business model..

It's hardly surprising.

Nearly every task that involves major resource gets pushed back if they have a 'beginning of year milestone'.

December is basically a write-off for any major employer, and January is too for the most part. That only gives them February to pretty much polish this game.

This is why you never really see releases so early on, no body is stupid enough to try and honour that date.

It can only be good. It's nice to see that a company is actually delaying the launch, rather than releasing a broken game and trying to fix it with patches (that never really fix it).

I'm failing to make the connection here. Pre-ordering it only ensures you get a copy upon release. Are you that impatient that you'd rather it be out on 'x' day then be a polished game and suddenly your interest is gone?
