Well maybe it was a Windows problem all along, we will find out soon smile.gif

Maybe my mistake here was to try on Windows 8 instead of Windows 7 fresh the first time around.

Here's hoping....
Wont't be happy to start Windows from scratch if this is the case, but I'll happily pay that price for smooth games smile.gif

well. I hope it will solve your problem cuz i don't have a problem with all the games you mention running eyefinity..

I have had the same experiences lately. I told myself that I would never buy another AMD/ATI card ever again in 2009 but while trying to make a choice with more vram and matching the cards to my rigs theme I just couldnt steer clear of the XFX coolers for the 7xxx series. I switched over and felt rage against the red machine more than ever. I was literally on the verge of tossing one into a wall. I did a fresh install and checked things out, slightly better...upgraded to win8 pro, havent worked on them since. Im really having an issue with getting vsync to work in order to get the drivers to stop crashing. CCC will run both cards differently at idle. CCC wont allow for exe presets to actually work, even radeon pro wont work. I realize that I really must be a green fan but Ive committed to these cards so Ill work on them sometime this weekend. I really hope win8 fixed a lot of issues I was having but im not so sure everything is linked to the OS. Hope you get things working. You definately work harder when you spend less money...

Another update, while installing some games on and off, I tried 12.10 and it brought back the desktop tearing issue. Reverted to 12.8 and it's gone again. Still waiting on these damn games though -.-

I've been using ati years ago and switched to nvidia along time ago and I'm glad I did. No issues, great performance, and everything worked. I decided to give ati/amd another try by purchasing the matrix 7970 platinum and I got loads of problems. Artifacts, screen tearing, horrible overclock, so many things to list. Immediately returned it and went back to nvidia. I recommend you do the same.

Progress update:

Sleeping Dogs (DX11) = stutter.
Batman (DX11) = vsync won't even work, forced or not.

Installing BF3 now....

I also tried flipping just about every setting in my BIOS I could -.-

^^You have driver issues I'd imagine.

Having used both surround and eyefinity I have to say that setting surround up is a pita. The software isn't intelligent in the manner that it configures the relative position of each panel so you have to swap panels around over and over. I've gotten so used eyefinity's method that takes the guess work out of what panel goes where, I've been spoiled. With that said, Nvidia's bezel correction system works pretty well, probably a lil better than AMD's if I were to nit pick. The interfaces of both systems work differently but the end result it the same.
