A gift, from me to you.

^ Definition of a useful post right there. Youre such a nice guy! No wonder you charge your friends 300$ to put a rig together.

You right, your post was so much more useful. How could i have over looked such, single minded, asinine, judgmental and childish masterpiece??

Well it's pretty OC friendly. I'm already at 3.6Ghz with no real effort, checking temps and then seeing how close I can get to 4Ghz . I spent last night cleaning the dust and dried propylene glycol out and put some lights in. This will go in my living room as a Home Theatre PC
EDIT: Oh yeah I also had some questions about the two GPUs. They have a SLI cable, yet the chipset is Intel. I didn't think you could do SLI unless it had an Nvidia chipset. The guy that had this used three monitors for Microsoft Flight Simulator so he wasn't using the SLI was he?

how bout make the 2nd card as a PhysX card??

Nice score.

If you get 4 GHz out of that Q6600 that'd be golden right there. But expect to use some serious voltage for it.

At 3.8 GHz, where I'm at now, my rig runs BF3, Far Cry 3 and Borderlands 2 fine. Any issue you get will probably come from the RAM. My 4 GB running at 1107 5/5/5/15 is the weak point that's gonna have me upgrading here soon. Decent little rig for gaming.

If i remember correctly, there are moded drivers on Guru3d that will allow you run SLI on old mobo like yours.

http://www.techpowerup.com/40148/Intel-X38-Supports-SLI-.html

X38 will run SLI, but you need to find moded drivers.

Found one that worked with a bit of tweaking "HyperSLI"

I have not run any tests yet to compare VirtualSLI vs single card, but will soon...
